May all the people who create and use spyware and viruses live three lives each as a tomato caterpillar in a yard full of paper wasps. (Because paper wasps lay their eggs on the caterpillars, and then the eggs hatch and burrow painfully to the caterpillar and eat it alive from the inside out.)
**edited to change the -ing to -ly (not sure what's wrong with me today... I keep making a zillion typos)**

Thanks!
I wonder, if a virus/hacker infects another computer... What happens to his? Does his suffer the karmaic law?
*crosses fingers!*

I have noticed a HUGE increase in phishing activity the past two weeks--I've been getting 1-2 emails a DAY from phishers on an account that was supposed to be private (but some idiot posted my email on her website, ignorning the directive I sent not to post it--it was a service oriented site that I paid for too...and from two days up--it was a mistake and she corrected it--now that account has been getting one phishing letter after another). What's funny is that I've never used that email account for any on-line shopping anywhere.
I'm getting so pissed at this freaking bull. Scammers about on the net, and I'm seriously considering just stopping every single on-line shopping activity that I do because I just don't trust security on sites, there have been too many slip ups. I've already cut down my on-line shopping by 90% and only shop at known, big named sites.
Having ranted now, I am sorry that some idiot is trying this with MW...unfortunately, the phishers get plenty of responses from those who don't understand the whole concept.
Yasmine (blowing off steam about the issue) :colorful:

I wasn't aware hiding your e-mail address would lessen the chances for phishers. Thank you.

My work computer had gathered during four days a 140 phishing emails with zip files for viruses (deleted), trying to get me to exchange money for them (sent to the FBI), Porn sites (Sent to the "security" guys) and attempting to get information from my system by telling me I had committed some type of illegal computer violation of various sorts. Deleted one and all without opening any files, zipped or unzipped (as it were). Hate these buggers, just hate them. I think they should be taken over by wasps in this life time... and then the next million or so as insects.

Um...I'm sure this makes me look REALLY Dumb, but what's a Phisher...not very computer literate. I stick to the shallow ponds.

Ok... I am trying very hard to implement the old "What Would Love Do" mentality... funny how as soon as you make up your mind to live that way, you start getting lots of opportunities to see if you really can!
Of course, loving also sometimes means teaching people lessons so that they learn, right? ;)

Crikey. Well that is why I just empty my Bulk mail automatically. If it does not come directly to my mail box it is sent into the great void.
Thanks Xen and mol. As always watching out for us.

A good idea would be to forward their contact info to one of those 419 scammers let them deal with each other ...he he he. Can you imagine them trying to work each other over I just want to be the fly on the wall!

That would be a bad idea... in this case the contact info is Mystic Wicks itself, which lends it more false sense of security. It'd only result in a slowdown of our own server.

Hmmm. good point. I had not thought about that. But then I usually have my e-mails set to extract exactly where everything originates from.
