Which word accurately describes you and your Heathen way of life? Or pathway as many Pagans call it but I've gathered that Heathens don't use path because The word 'path' implies that I have some ultimate goal in mind as if I'm going somewhere. For me, being heathen is about doing stuff the right way while above ground so that I can lay down in the ground feeling like I did the right thing. It's just a way of being.
Do you think Asatru or Heathenry qualifies as a religion ( since the word religion usualy denotes organized religion) or is it more of a spirituality or just a worldview?
I've been told that 'Religion' isn't a Germanic concept. Christians have a religion. Germanic folk have land and a way of life on that land. Christians need a religion because their God lives outside it all. We live among them. Our Earth (ModG 'die Erde' Jörd) Our gods set up the dividing line between innangardh and útangardh; they and we are part of the innangarth. What would we need a religion for? We just have to behave right while we're living.
So what do you refer to yourself as if asked by someone if your religious?
I have guys at work that say if you belive in or look to any deity then your religious, what do I say back to that?
