Today my mother bought me an ankh pendant with a green amber stone on it.
My question is what are the propertys (sp?) of green amber? Does it have the same as normal amber? the man at the store told her that green amber can attract money but other than that I have no info.
Thank you in advance.

well green stones in general are used for prosperity purposes. Bear in mind amber comes in 256 various colors. The most common is the cognac or brown color. Usually natural green amber is greenishyellow. If it is not this (which is a bright sparkling green color) color then it is a good chance it is color enhanced and should be treated as a regular amber in which you find in most metaphysical books and websites.
if it is indeed true green amber then it is good for healing and energizing the body. Also a stone of manifestation, as with most or all green stones ,it brings wealth and prosperity to the wearer, empowering them with success. Green amber clears the heart chakra(again usually with most green stones).

Check the back of the stone if you can. If it appears opaque or like someone painted it, then you have a peice of pale amber dyed to look green. If the back is as clear looking as the front, you probably have the real thing. Green is the colour I use with my candles for prosperity and also sometimes healing work.

I've done some looking at the stone and from what I am see I see no inhancement to it it is a paleish green. Actually the coloration doesn't even take up all of the stone, if that makes sence.
Thank you for the information everyone.

Wow I didn't know that! I'd love to get my hands on some blue amber, personally...I have red, cognac, butter and green amber.
:fofftopic *points in my own face and hits myself over the head with it*
I agree that green stones are usually used for prosperity/money/success/good luck/fortune and also for opening the heart chakra. I've also found that all amber aids in protection as well. I never go anywhere without wearing a piece of amber jewelry...most typically my 3 rings LOL...

It makes sense to me - that's what my green amber earrings look like. It's kind of mottled looking and some of each stone is clear, while some of it has color. I haven't cared much for these earrings, mostly because the posts are too long they poke into the skin behind my ear. But this has sparked my interest in them, so maybe I'll trim the posts down and start wearing them more often.
