Ok, this is just an odd thing I have noticed with my Gilded deck.

Every week, I will take all my cards and put them upright...then, I draw a small portion of them (like about 1/8 of the cards or so) and reverse them, and very carefully cut them back into the deck, so that they are spread evenly throughout.

After about 2 or 3 days of use, I notice (and this happens REPEATEDLY) that all of the reversed cards clump together! In large groups of 5 or more....wierd or what? I don't get it!

that's strange ...

are you getting alot of reversals in your spreads?? The, I would say that there is some kind of blockage of energy ...

what about with other decks?

i get reversed tarot cards a lot. what could be the reasons for that. still the readings are pretty accurate for the most part.

Maybe they're lonely. I mean, if you were in a group of 78 people, and you were one of only 10 or so who were standing on your heads, wouldn't you want to be with the other people who were looking at the world from the same perspective as you? :)

LMAO! Ok, good answer!

I don't actually get a lot of reversals in my spreads/draws, I just thought it was an odd and interesting little phenomenon. I never noticed it happening with my Witches Tarot or my Rider Waite....but maybe Windsmith is right, maybe my deck is doing its own little social grouping or something!

our higher self arranges the cards during the shuffle phaze of the reading... that is why a good shuffle with a wash is reccomended...

(a wash is when you mix all of the cards real good on the table in front of you, mentaly cleanseing them .. it is at this time were we begin to decide on the purpose of the session)

every time we take the cards in our hands we are accessing the higher wisdom..

just shuffleing them, and mixing them about is a good way to put our own energy into them..

I think that every "clumping" together has its purpose..

according to Gnothology, 4 or more "majors" (major arcana) in a spread indicates a priority message and a deck with 2 sets of majors is used in what is known as the "Malkuthian" spread.. (a qabbalistic spread)

i agree that groupings happen for a reason,

but if you think about it, you take a few cards reversed and you spread them through the deck evenly, when you split the deck to shuffle they probably will end up together, especialy after repeted shufflings.

i my self dont take select cards and reverse them. i always turn my deck as i shuffle (this is the way i learned to shuffle a deck since i was a kid way before tarot) so every card has an equal chance of beeing reversed. and the result is constantly changed as i shuffle, this helps me out cause if i see a card that might have fallen out of the deck, if i put it back in one way i still will not know if the card will come out the same way if drawn. and the only time i take cards out of the deck is for readings or if i am in a class and need to see the card. i always clense my cards as i shuffle, and i keep a 8 pointed star crystal with them to keep negativity away.
