I made a set of runes out of 1/4" slices of a dow-rod, the only twist is that instead of using paint or,... markers... or... somthing seemingly normal, I used my lifeblood... There's two sides to this... A.) It's morbid and wrong... or B.) Since it is my blood, it helps the runes become more personalized to me and the power, magick, what have you flows more freely.

I myself have chosent the latter. And I feel more closely bonded to them.

Waddya think?

PS. I'm a newbie in both paganism, and to this forum, but, if I'm not mistaken, I'm already friends with you all. Am I not?
=D

There are actually a few threads on blood and magickal tools. I think there's a good one in Magick & Rituals.

I think if anyone tells you you're morbid or wrong for practicing as you wish you should tell them off, personally :D

Man, how did you ever manage to make any kind of mark on a 1/4" dowel rod??? I usually use 3/4"-1 1/2"... except in my old age, I usually buy wooden furniture plugs at Home Depot... :T My horned hat is off to you... :D

Blooding Runes is both Lore & tradition... as Myst sez, there are several threads in both Divination & M&R re: Runemaking...

Happy Runing!
