A long time ago I was really concerned as to what my spirit guide animal was.
Last night I did a very long meditation, asking again.
First of all I got nothing, then about a million images all at once of every kind of animal.
Then I changed my question. Instead of asking "who should I ask to guide me?" I asked "who is waching and guiding me already?"

I saw a HUGE pair of yellow eyes, first the right, then the left. No matter how I concntrated I couldn't see the animal they belonged to.
I came ou of the meditation very slowly, and as I was doing so I wondered, not what the animal was, but what its name was. I suddenly got the answer "Renard" really clearly.

I know Renard means fox. This really surprised me as I thought the eyes I had seen were more cat-like than fox.
I drifted off to sleep, and as I was doing so, I was over-come by the sense that this "renard" was a lover who was watching over me. Not a teacher, or a guide, but a lover who cared passionatly for my soul.

I don't know if these are unrelated, but the sense was so strong I doubt it.

I'm unsure on a few things so, any help on these would be appreciated:
Is this a fox, or another animal calling himself fox?
Is the dream related?
Would he be a lover from a past life who is now a fox? A fox who is now a spirit guide, or one of those who is now human?

I'm so new to this aspect of myself and could really do with a little help!!! _wiz_

i have a fox guide, you have got to remember that if it is a fox they can be quite (dunno if this IS a word) riddlesome... so what they show you can make you think something other than what it means but you will always learn from it. i always get a feeling that my guide could have been a lover or mother in a past life... i believe i was a fox... i dunno wether that helps but good luck anyway...

I will say from the start that I am no good at interpreting dreams.

That said have you considered asking on the Dreams and Divination Forum? They are usually good for an answer that is at least helpful.

Have you done any meditations on Renard or the fox since then? Consulted your favorite divinatory system? Asked your deities? Scryed for an answer?
