You understand this is going to cost an absolute fortune don't you? We are talking megga bucks and it wont be done in one sitting. Thats going to take at least 3 long sittings to do if not more, depends on your pain threshold. How big do you plan on having it and where do you want it? That's going to be a difficult tattoo to place properly to avoide musculer distortion.

Finding the right artist is just going to take a lot of footwork. You are just going to have to visit the shops in your area, look at the portfolios of the artists. Look at the knot work they have done, their fish and shading with gray scale. Keep in mine the best artist around may not be the best one for that tattoo. I have a friend who is the best photo realistic guy around, his people and animals darn near jump off the skin, but can’t do knot work to save his life. You are just going to have to get out there and see their stuff, talk with them and take your time in choosing. The place I go the owner did a great job of getting people who are masters of a particular style, one dose awesome Japanese style the other fantastic old school Sailor Jerry stuff and their egos are all in check they seem to have no problems passing off work to one of the other artist they think could do the best job. Even though they all do top notch work in other styles and can give you what you want. Part of why I really like the place they are far more concerned with the out come than keeping folks in their chair.
Good luck with the search.

If only you were in the Ohio, USA area. I know a great artist who can do pretty much anything you set infront of him. He is my dad's best friend. Luckily, I have never had to pay for any of my ink. ;) But with that much detail, you would either have to have it huge or you will have to "dull" it down a little. I am always afraid that the ink will start to get that fuzzy look and not keep a crisp line, but so far, so good. Good Luck!

oh yeah its going to cost AT LEAST £150... but i can save cos i REALLY love the pic!
im going to have it on the left hand side of my back just below my shoulder probably... i would like it somewhere i could see it but i cant think where else i would look good... i already have 4 tattoos all done in one sitting each. i have always wanted a good quality bigger tattoo, i used to want a full back or sleeve but i dont anymore cos they look better on guys!
i probaby would have it 15cm (6inches) in diamiter, but i wouldnt mind a GOOD tattoo artist changing it a little and simplifying it a bit... ill probly visit a convention before i get it done... if there arnt any capeable artists in my area i guess i wouldnt mind traveling... :dinnertim
