Hi. I live amongst a lot of trees - mostly various evergreen conifers, but also larches, birches, alders, and others.

I also live in a four-season part of the world, with a true winter where temperatures go below freezing for much of the season.

I have a relationship with numerous individual trees in my immediate vicinity. The largest of these are ones I often sit under for meditation, during the warmer months. I've vividly felt the qi (or ch'i, ki, or prana) of certain trees at times. But actually only in the warmer months. I'm not sure if this is because the warmer temperatures allow me to relax and spent more "quality time" with the tree, or if it has to do with the tree's own energy being down (being less , or just being more in the roots).

Anybody have any experiences, perspectives, or personal knowledge you'd like to share about all this?

Hmmm.. I would suppose your right..the colder months- perhaps the trees are more dormant and not as much energy is "flowing" so to speak.
I often sit under the pines ( the tree I seem to have been connected to since I was little)..
maybe their message is?? for us to rest, slow down, recharge in the colder months too

Hi Tanemon,
I don't think they lose energy or that their energy goes dormant. I feel the presense very strongly even now in the winter. I feel the awareness of older trees stronger then young'uns, but I still feel and see the energy of them.

However, I suppose it is possible that my awareness of the trees has increased since the summer, making it seem, to me, that the energy is consistant.

I sort of agree apart from I'd say the energy changes not lessens or becomes dormant

Yep- shouldnt have said the energy is "dormant" but that the trees are abit "more" that way in cooler weather..not so much their energy
