Hey all,
Does anyone know of a directory of sorts for wiccan Covens? I ask because I am moving soon to go off to graduate school and would like to be able to come in contact with some people and groups in the new area.

Try witchvox.com for listings of covens in your area.

The closest thing I know is Witchvox.com . They have a directory of covens and other groups, searchable by state or city, but keep in mind those are the open and rather public covens. There are probably just as many (if not more) that *don't* have a listing on witchvox because they are a bit more private. You can also look at the listing of individuals' profiles (by state or city), and it should list what their tradition is. A number of these individuals belong to groups that don't have a listing.
On MysticWicks, there's the Pagan Connections (http://www.angrygeeks.org/mw/forumdisplay.php?f=72) subforum that you can search for people in what will be your area. Though I don't know about *groups*...
Another good thing to check out, since you're going to graduate school is if the school has a pagan or specifically Wiccan group. Even if you don't decide to practice with them, it might lead you to interesting people with whom you DO want to practice. CollegeWicca.com (http://www.collegewicca.com/) is a good place to look for college groups... the author of the website used to run the same college pagan group that I used to run, and she's here on MW. (Rhaevyn is awesome!)
Anyway, good luck finding a group.

I understand that many groups are rather secretive. I've practiced as a solitary witch as well as in a group so I can do either, just always nice to have people to talk to that you don't have to overcome stereotype with :P

If you're looking for a particular Tradition, you can often ask a person from within that Trad, no matter where they are located, and they might put you in touch with somebody in your area who doesn't advertise on websites. If there are any metaphysical bookstores in your new area, attending events there might also allow you to meet some Pagan friendly folks!
