it would be a fun way to make a comment about the commercialization and secularization of Christmas.
Oh the irony ... i mean, Father Christmas is a really Christian symbol isn't he *rolleyes* ...
... maybe he's getting his own back on the guy who tried to hang him?

That's a bit...extreme for me.

It does seem to say..."Chucky's First Christmas"?

Well, if you hate the commercialism of Christmas...then just don't buy any presents. I just can see a child seeing that and being freaked out. I loved Christmas when I was little.

*Knew the wheels in her head would start turning once she read this* :smoke:
Anyways, I think this whole thing is funny. The display doesn't really bother me. But I can see where it might be bad since little children might be freaked out by it. Aside from that though, I don't really see any big deal about it. Its someone taking a interesting, if not kind of neat and funny theme with their christmas decorations.

That doesn't bother me. Actually nothing does [unless you count cruelty to animals and racism]. The fact that I'm slightly morbid could have something to do with it.

Good grief, I thought the Santa hanging on a noose was bad. I wonder if Hollywood will jump on this and make a horror movie with a slasher Santa.

I think some of the anti-Christmas decorations are pretty cool. And by some I mean the hanging Santa and slasher Santa because those are the only ones I've seen

I liked Mad TV's Resevoir Dogs/Godfather version of Rudolph and Santa Claus where I think Rudolph took out Santa and then became the Godfather.

Anyone can put up any tasteless decorations they want to...It's the American way! But to state that they (almost quoting here) "didn't think it would offend anyone" is a total load of crap...That's what they intended to do and they did it very well.....

This is true. I somehow don't think that it never occurred to them that someone would not be offended by Santa Claus taking a buzzsaw to someone and holding their head as a trophy...

I've noticed this trend this year. This Christmas season seems to be more about horror than snow and mistletoe. Not that I mind it, I'm actually into the more horrific side of things (movies, stories, etc.)
Have noticed on tv that the movie marathons on some channels around christmas eve and new years are slasher flicks. there's even a horror movie opening on christmas eve (or maybe its christmas day?)
Guess the world just wants to hack and slash right now.
