I LOVE THE MOON!!! Always have.. it has heard all of my secrets, saw past all of my walls and never once questioned who I am or what I am about..
Over the past couple of years I have noticed that shortly before and during the new moon I am HIGHLY AGITATED, ANXIOUS AND EVEN PRONE TO ANXIETY ATTACKS.. is there anyone that can help me to lessen the severity of these emotions during this time.. I'm normally pretty even tempered and patient except during this time.. what can I do to channel this energy more productively.. I'm starting to dread this time.. it's almost like some women get that time of the month which has never been an issue for me either.. am I missing something.. I've never practiced spells or any of the like but I do meditate and ask for the white light to protect me and release me from any negative feelings, anxiety etc. I feel that there is a connection to be made here but don't have the first clue what to do..
blessed be

How does the lunar cycle correspond to your menstrual cycle?

They run pretty close together... I am now eating everything in sight and was SOOO uptight the other night I could have screamed... also deep into perimenopause at 37... (small scream!!) :)

I have heard of things with full moons but not new moons. Is the meunstral cycle set to be around the moon?

LadyCelt, there's supposedly a connection between the moon's cycles and the mentrual cycle. Mine has switched between the full moon, last quarter and new moons. It moves gradually over the years, but then I get that from my mum. She had irregular ones as well.

Which is why I find it hard to see the connection between them because mine aren't regular. Others might be, but not mine. Mine moves around like a lunar calendar does. I've gone a couple of times where it's been 5 or 6 weeks or so between periods, that's usually when it's changing phase. *shrugs* I haven't noticed my mood affected by the moon though, only my cycle.

People have different reactions to the moon.. It could be a serious side-effect that really has no scientific explination yet, or it could be all in the person's mind.

Same reason why some people feel more sexually active during full moons, or get uber depressed for no reason during dark moons.
