Hello All,

I'm new to this Forum. I am a practicing Astrologer and my latest Client has Pluto Square Mars in their Progressed Chart. This is just starting for the Client and I just discovered the Square will remain firm until August of 2024!

Another Client I have also has Pluto Square Mars until the Year 2008. In the last several years, she had her car broken into and then the theives released the brake and pushed her car down a hill where it crashed into another car. She also had employees who constantly argued with her and stole money and ultimately she lost her business through a "hostile takeover". Now she is trying to cope by turning to fundamentalist religion; this after I warned her of all of these possibilities and dangers!

I fully understand that Pluto Square Mars signifies a terrible conflict between Ego and Subsconscious Self and between different aspects of ones personal will and power.

The reference materials and books I am familiar with don't address the subject to the degree I'm looking for. They also don't offer much suggestion on how one should properly address - and move beyond - the dangers and problems inherent with this Aspect.

Does anyone have Book or Article suggestions for Progressed Pluto Square Mars that I can give to Clients with this most difficult of Aspect?

Help me ease their burden - any advise will be sincerely appreciated!

Do you have "The Book of Pluto" by Steven Forrest?

I'm not an astrologer, but I find this book to be really insightful. If you don't have it, I'll be happy to type up what he says about natal and transiting Pluto-Mars aspects.

Hello 2wicky,

I'm familiar with Steven Forrest but not with the Book you mention. I'm located in Philadelphia, Penna so I have access to good Metaphysical Bookstores and I will take a look at it soon.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Are you asking about Pluto square Mars natally or how it applies in progressions?

I suggest just explaining to them what Mars and Pluto represent - unstoppable force. Pluto brings things to the surface and against Mars will make them feel like their energy and will are blocked at every turn. But the positive side to this aspect is the increase of energy it provides. That's why they should consider getting that Pluto/Mars energy out constructively, otherwise they'll end up screaming at their coworkers or the poor waiter in a restaurant.

Progressed Pluto won't move very far from its natal position for any of us - my natal Pluto is at 4Vir23 and my progressed Pluto is at 3Vir38; it's moved less than a degree in 45 years, and that's pretty typical. That's why these progressions will last so long.

Hi KEishin & Fluffmeister,

I'm only concerned here with the Progressed Pluto Mars Square, not a Natal one.

Fluffmeister I do understand about Pluto's (minimal) movement from birth and being the reason that Pluto Aspects will stick around for years.

I am continuing to hunt for how to turn the Pluto - Mars Square into something favorable, or at least non-spontaneously combustable!

Thank you both for the responses. With Appreciation

Derestanne.

Saturn in Scorpio rising, square Pluto/Mc in Leo isnt " fun time", if you arent an egotist either, if you are spiritual and look to karma, power battles find you, when you dont take centre ground and powerplay your ego, i like to be democratic!

Hi Derestanne!

Nice to see you here. As to progressed Pluto, I too never look at it because it is so slow; but, as you say, those happenings sure seem Pluto square Mars like. Where is the progressed Mars for this client? Any aspects to it?

As for a positive interpret, Pluto blasts us onto path. I tend to believe that this is because, deep down, we want to be on path so we chose to let the Divine shut us down and reboot us as needed this life; then again, maybe we have no say at any level.

Pluto square Mars can be reckless. "Time to access and process your rage, or else!"

Therapy is good. Getting lots of excercise; using the Pluto/Mars fire for fitness and self healing. But remind the client to warm up first, take time to stretch first....then run, swim, dance, bike etc. Avoid injuries.

I might suggest that the client set boundaries on his or her temper - like count to 100, 10 may not be enough, before responding. Or take time outs. Pray about stuff then take constructive action, encourage the client to use the rage and anger, the fire, to be more effective at making the necessary changes.

This is a warrior, kick butt aspect. That warrior energy can be used to create a whole new life full of freedom and self expression, love and health.

Hi RedRose,

Thanks for your input. I agree completely with your understanding of Mars Square Pluto Progressed.

The particular client I refer to, in her progressed chart for December 15th, 2005 has Mars at 14 degrees Sagittarius, 41 minutes sitting exactly on her 11th - 12th House Cusp.

She has Mars Trining Saturn and Mars conjuncting Part of Fortune. Thats it; no other Mars aspects. Favorable aspects to Mars yes. She is self employed and that is going well right now and I expect this trend to continue into 2006. The long term picture is of course another matter...!_wiz_
