View Full Version : something in my room

I've cleansed my room at least a dozen times, but something still seems to be lurking around. I notice it most when I'm doing a ritual of some sort, but it pops up at other times as well.
It's always there, watching me from behind (Usually right behind the candle representing the South, since my altar faces North, not East). Nothing has ever happened to me, but it's unnerving to have it sit there and stare at me. I've asked it what it is, but it never responds, it just makes itself less noticable. Like I said, it hasn't done any harm, but it does creep me out every once in awhile.
We've had a ghost in my house before, but I am fairly certian that it's not a ghost. There's also something that likes to follow me around and take my stuff, but I don't think it's that either. We did have something odd in our attic, but I got rid of that, and it hasn't been a problem since.
This feels bigger though, (for lack of a better word), than any of those other things. Sometime it feels rather menacing, but most of the time it just feels like it wants me to known it's there.
Anybody have any ideas on what it might be?

I get those sometimes.....
and now that i realized what they were, i get more.....apparently once you can "see" them, they seem to like to show themselves even more....

Hmmm...well, they could certianly be the ones taking my stuff, but I don't think they're what's lurking in my room. Whatever it is, it's bigger than a Faerie.

Have you tried reaching it through meditation or on the astral plane?
Are you certain you need to get rid of it? You might want to find out why it's there and what it's doing before thinking of getting rid of it.
You may also have luck channelling yourself or using a ouija board, if you're into that.
It's likely just a spirit or entity; they're all over the place. It might be a former resident of the home, a spirit that came home with you from somewhere, or something that just passed by and stayed there. *shrugs*

Just go to shop rite, get you a can of lysol disenfectant, ya may wanna get pine being its that season...and go hime, light 2 red holiday candles on your alter, place said can o lysol in betwixt them,,
now select a diety, ok how bout Bast (home related )
say something like
GOdess bast
I need you fast
*slowly wave right hand over can visualiseing wight light going in the can (take cap off)
Clense the air and banish this negative energy out side where it can do its intended job rather than troubleing my home....
so mote it be,
Leave candles going
spray baby spray
see the white light come out of the can (open window)
see it cleanseing the air, and see the negative energy fly out the window in its gooky black smoke like apraerance out into the night air, (or day)
shut window, leave candles burn ,,
it will work if you believe it will
and visualisation is key
the more vivid you can visualise the greater the will (intent)
and the more powerful it will be
believe , visualise, it important, know it is working...

whoah, I love that ritual, Xander! ^_^;;
hmm. . . you say it feels "bigger" than a ghost or faerie. . . and it hasn't been malicious, but more like it's watching you?
Could it be a spirit guide?
It also might just be a spirit, or maybe even the presence of a god/dess that's taken a shine to you. Maybe they're just watching your back for you for a while. I know that's happened to me. Sometimes I don't recognise who's doing it, but I do later. Sometimes I don't know at all.
For the longest time, I was scared of this huge bear-thing that lived with a little native american ghost boy in the basic parimeter of my house. It scared the dickens outta me.
Then one day I realized, it just wanted to play with me :D After I got to know it a bit, it'd sometimes keep an eye on me, or shrink down to the size of a miniature teddy bear and ride on my head. If you've ever seen Tonari no Totoro (My Neighbour Totoro), I'm kind of reminded of that. Sometimes things that seem scarey are only so because we don't know what they are.
Of course, be cautious. I'm not there to feel it, and for all I know it's some grumpy thing ^^; but it hasn't done anything bad (yet?), so maybe the best approach is to keep trying to contact it. It might be shy.

Thanks Puma, its a pretty effective one if you can visualise the light in the can, I do the same thing with the carpet fresh and It really gives my home a noticeably good aura
I mean when you get down to the basic Physics of the matter,
enrgy is comprised of atoms and molecules, and thought form does have a certain degree of substance (even if it is on the astral but when we apply physical work in combination with astral manefestation) OH BOY thats powerful stuff,

Myst: I haven't tried reaching it through meditation yet, though as you say, its probably a good idea. I'm not touching the oujia though! Too many bad experiences with that thing. It works just a little too well for me. -_-'
I'll investigate more, however, before I decide what (if anything) I need to do.
Xander: Interesting ritual! I'll definetly keep that one in mind. My attic could use something like that. Thanks! :)
Puma: Yes. It just kinds sits there and stares at me. Sometimes it feels darker than normal, but it hasn't ever done anything malicious, with the exception of creeping me out. But you (and Myst) have a point. It could be a spirit guide, or just some random spirit who has taken a shine to me. It's been around for awhile, and has followed me from house to house, without causing any problems. Lately, however, it has been making itself more noticable than it has in the past, which is slightly unnerving.

YOU KNOW I HAVE IT TOO.
The thing is about my summer house near sea. It is 5sec from forest too.
First what we[family] noticed was - things started to dissapear. Audio tapes. it really liked them, a lot of them dissapeared a never returned. A funny thing was with my fathers hat. It one day just wasn't in the wardrobe. Three years passed and when he one day opened the wardrobe-the hat was there. But that was only the begining. In evenings allways past 8 o'clock there was that sound as if someone was mooving furniture. Twas really loud and it came from attic. But we got used to it. There was also the sound of opening doors. It happened for a couple of times. There was that sound as if someone oppened the front door of house. Those are big wooden doors, real heavy and loud. Then I thought tht my father has returned, but nobody was there.
And then was that night. I'll never forget it.
I woke up about at 3 AM.[I was about 9.5 years old then] There was that SOUND. Like a really big man was walking about the house from kitchen to living room. It sounded like really big boots bounded with iron, or boots with skids. I lisened and lisened and then t started to brake glasses, dishes. The sound was like it was throwing them to walls, on floor, breaking everithing in house. I ran to my mother, she was awake too[father was in US at that time] . There was that fear. If it was not a burglar. The fear was all around. We had a gun by the bed, but we somehow knew tht it was useless and stayed in sleeping room. After about half an hour it all stopped. In the morning we went with a thought to clean up the house, but big was our suprise, that nothing was touched, nothing was broken.
After that case my mother and father called for a priest.
They are not church goers, but are Christian, so it was a christian priest. My personal opinion is that priest is priest and that any would do in a case like this. Our house was "cleaned" with holy water etc. For some 4 months all was quiet, but then it started again. But those big boots and dishbreaking never happened again, only the sound of mmoving furniture, but it is true tht priest didn't clean the attic.
The house is not old, but we think of tearing it down and building a new one. If the place is hounted it won't help, but the house is really in terrible condition.
What do You Think of THIS? What might be tht. It is certain that I wouldn't like that booted creature to return. I'm not a scary one, but tht thought of it return really freaks me out.

Whatever it is, it's obviously not friendly. Sounds like a poltergiest to me. Those can be hard to get rid of. There is some dispute over whether they are psyic manifestation of human emotions, or just a really nasty spirit. I'd see about having your housed claneased again, if I were you. Better make sure of what it is before you try and banish it.
On a seperate note, I figured out what it is that's been watching me. It's a dragon, and a big one at that!

"Better make sure of what it is before you try and banish it. "
How to do that?
and if you suggest a discussion with it, then NOO CHANCE! , NO WAY. I do not think it is friendly too.

the only power those things have over you is the power you allow them to have.....
believe in yourself first!
face that intruder and ask him/her why it is there...
it may be delivering you a mesg, or you may have accidently
called it into being,
either way, it is YOUR HOUSE.
you exist more in the 3rd dimension than they do....
dont underestimate that lysol ritual it may appear silly,
but im tellin ya, it works, but dont take my word for it...
try it for yourself,....:o .i would not have suggested it if I hadnt had prior knowledge and experience that it does work....
but visualization is key.....
so basicly you have two choices here....
believe in your own abilities and banish the sucker,
or work out some kinda schedule for who does the dishes and who takes out the trash....;)

Xander has a point, Rain Warrior.
If you can't bear facing up to it, get a friend to do it for you. A malicious spirit will not leave if you show your fear of it, though, a nonmalicious spirit might leave if you have the courage to communicate with it and let it know it does kinda scare ya..

Back to the first point a second - watch out that you aren't working yourself into the fear. I do that sometimes, last night I felt someone in my room (a woman) but it was neither positive or negative (although I'm pretty new at trying to work out energies, I usually feel them in an empathic way) neither was it confused. But I had to keep on reminding myself that if it wasn't negative then it wasn't trying to hurt me, because in my mind I kept on trying to make it more scary, although I know it wasn't because my first instinks [spelling!?!] are always right. Did that make sense???
The second ghostly point - If this is a polterthingy, then you may want to look at the people living in the house at the moment. Being what they are (I think that was mentioned earlier on, that its negative energy from someone around you) then perhaps you need to try banishing the energy from that person rather than the house. Ok, I'm pretty sure that made no sense....

My last point thing is assuming that its human emotions, which is what I do assume. Oh, and teenagers are often thought to be the source of it.

nobody now lives there and we were the only ones when we did.
not a big house. but at tht time there were no teenagers in our family. I was only 10. When I was 11 we moved away to the city but the house staied there. And I don't think tht it was somekind of emotional reflection.
BTW, I checked the history records.
Yust before the WWII, there lived a Latvian army officer. When Russians came he dissapeared. Could it be him?
Although it was his summer house[lived there only in summers]
and Russians came here at winter. Maybe he was hiddind there.
And one more question. We have a huge garden by the house. Under one pine tree there is a big spot, where nothing grows.
It's like a desert. we have tried everything, watering it, growing grass, changing upper soil. no results. yust a sandy spot with some dead grass. We plan to return to that place now and build a new house. My father is very curious about tht spot. He suggests we let workers dig it up real deep and stay ourselves near, if there is smthing valuable[spelling] down there?
What are your thoughts about it. What may be down there.

First, the person didn't have to live there for his spirit to stay, at all.
Second, you don't mention the size of the pine tree. If it's somewhat low to the ground or very wide there simply may not be enough light getting through for plants to grow underneath (think of a forest of pine trees, the ground there is nothing but sand and dead needles). A question that might be better asked in the Green Room.

It might be that you are growing the wrong type of grass, we have that same problem, with a very old tree

of each! A bald spot in my yard and a buggy that likes to hang around (mentioned in another thread), the bald spot is due to the fact that it is on a slop, the buggy is because there is alot of charged energy and she is a guide to my mother. I wouldnt get rid of the buggy, but the bald spot is ugly and dead, the roots of the tree are showing and I hate to rake it up because that only increases arosion but leaving it there isnt an option as I have overly helpful neighbors who would rake my yard for me if I didnt do it myself. Suggestions for the yard, have you tried decorating it? A few nombs here and there, a potted plant that needs major shade? Suggestions for the buggy, talk to it and tell it to bug off if it is bothering you, to back off if you dont like it looking over your shoulder. They generally respect your space, but family, particularly the over affectionate type can be a bit hard to persuade, that is why you 'extend' sharply and force them to back off, they might be incomporial but so is a part of you!
