There is a weird beeping in my kitchen. I have turned draws and cubboards up side down and cleaned them out trying to find where this beep is coming from. I have searched my trash bag and my fridge, above the fridge, in behind my stove and in my stove. It beeps 3 times within a 10 min period and its very faint.
When I can't find it I give up and assume its nothing but every 2 hours it beeps again and Im curious again and turn the kitchen upside down each and every time.
For those here in MW that may provide me with some answers divination wise, please HELP. Im going :awilly:

Do you have a smoke dectector or carbon monoxide dectector? Check the batteries, they beep like that.
Best wishes,

I agree with Sun Sprite -- it's very likely to be a smoke detector or carbon monoxide detector. I've gone through MANY frustrating attempts trying to figure out which one exactly was beeping in my house. Sound is very funny in that it's sometimes a lot harder to pin down to a specific location especially when it's like those infuriating smoke detectors that only beep three times and then wait for ten (or more) minutes before doing it again to let you know the battery is low.
If they beeped three times once a minute it would be much easier to figure out where the sound was coming from!
I would recommend you just change the batteries in ALL your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. It's what we ended up doing at my house to stop the stupid beeping.
(And a tip about carbon monoxide detectors -- they should actually be low down, not on the ceiling, if they're to be of any use. Smoke detectors go up high because smoke rises. Carbon monoxide is heavier than normal air so it sinks to the ground. You could be dead from carbon monoxide poisoning before it got up to the ceiling to set off a detector if it's up there. And trust me -- they are life-savers and are worth getting. A friend of mine had a cousin whose whole family died overnight from carbon monoxide poisoning when they turned on their furnace when the weather turned cold -- the furnace was defective and killed them!)

Are you sure there is just one in your house? If there's another one somewhere the sound might be carrying. Sometimes it carries through the air vents or even through the walls and fools us.
If it's not a smoke detector then you might have something else that uses a battery back-up that is trying to tell you the battery is low. Do any of your clocks have batteries or battery back-ups? (Some clocks that plug into the wall also take a battery so it can keep time when the power goes out.)
