how few "pagan" threads there are on MW? the first thing i do when i come online is check the new posts on here... and i have to go thru pages of other stuff(which includes interesting stuff) before i find any pagan threads...

Funny... I see new threads being brought up in each of the Paths forums here almost every day. This to me covers a broad range of "Pagan" posts.

There are alot of new threads being created in arts and crafts...

those are pagan threads, they are threads started by pagan artists and craftspeople!

And to extend that reasoning, nearly everything here on MW is created by and commented on by Pagans of one kind or another (in addition to those who do not consider themselves Pagan).

*nods* Some days one has to wade through a lot of silly chatter threads to get to serious Pagan discourse but then silly chatter is good too! Generally I just target the forums that focus more on serious stuff if that's what I'm in the mood for - ie. I'll hit Books and Paths and T&P. If I have more time I'll hit Gods & Goddesses, Magick & Rituals, and New Pagans too.

The only remedy is to encourage discussion you want to participate in :) Luckily everyone has space here to be silly or serious as they like.

Another thing I like to do is spend more time on other forums depending on my mood. Sometimes it's an occultforums (http://www.occultforums.com/) day for me, or a thriceround (http://www.thriceround.com/) day, or even an ecauldron (http://www.ecauldron.net/) day. That's the beauty of the internet, having all these great choices!
