Hello all
Im at a cross road in my life. My brief history, I like most of you was raised in a Christian home Did Christian things and read Christian books. Iíve recently had an inner struggle toward witchcraft I cant explain the strong pull to learn more about the subject. Iíve read several books on the issue of Wicca and donít fully agree with the doctrine. I myself believe that Jesus Christ is way to heaven and the God. I cannot ignore the fact that the church is so scared out of there mind when metaphysical subject comes up and just plain ignorent. I also believe that there are powers of the universe that can help you through this life, call them God,gods and goddess there is power from a higher source. A world energy that moves the ocean tides based on the position of the moon(i like to fish)

Iím a white man married to a Mexican woman. We all know the sad story of the Spanish Catholics (crusaders) that went to Mexico and killed men women and children that wouldnít convert to there beliefs .I have studied many of my in-laws to find a hybrid religion that mixed Christianity with the Ē old world Indian waysĒ were there is harmony with being a Jesus lover and practicing magik. It seems that when I post on other forums that people say if youíre a Christian you cant efectivly practice magik. The Wicca books speak of god and goddess could they be one of the same Could there be harmony with both beliefs. My question is how does a Christian practice Magik? Any books thoughts insite or feedback is appreciated.

HI ATHENE!
First, Wicca has been around since about 1939 and Haitian Voodoo was created a couple hundred years ago from African tribal religions reworked and used for revenge on slavers.

Second, this poster doesn't want to change their religion, they want to practice magick as a Christian, which is possible.

Third:

If you are attracted to a religion for reasons other than its religious content, you are a poser. It's like saying you're a Christian because you like communion wine.

What the Bible says about Witchcraft (http://www.religioustolerance.org/wic_bibl.htm)

Witchcraft from the ground up (link (http://www.whywiccanssuck.com/learn0.html)) -- this is pretty good tutorial and is relatively devoid of religious leanings.

Wow,I never expected a reply of "calm down" and being called a poser (which is spelled poser not poster).Thank God Ive found a group of people to help me not like you guys.It seems every time i talk to people who believe in wicca they cant handle a simple discussion without saying something stupid or putting down my religion.God bless and a goodbye to you

The link "what the bible says about witchcraft" above posted by morningstar-people please read it .This is the reason i need more than the dogmatic church that is clueless. The website takes half of a reference to passage and gives you all the half information and tranlations of every bible in the english language and the worst part it doesnt give the Greek def. of what the word witchcraft means in the language it was written in. I know you think your a scholar but i wouldnt be wearing your knowledge on you sleeve

oh yea the Wine makes me stay
