Em Hotep!
What do others do to connect with the Netjeru that they work with? KO's have senut. But what else do people do?
Random thought. :)

I speak to the Netjeru everyday, giving them thanks and whatnot. I give offerings whenever I feel the inclination. I do rituals to celebrate and honor Them. I live life being a part of Them each day.

I am Kemetic but not Orthodox. I do not belong to any temple or organization.
On holidays, I do a simplified version of Senut.
Other days, I may just give offerings like Redshire said.
I make sure to talk to my patrons (Ma'at, Inpu and Djehuty) every night before falling asleep. It is more of a focused meditation, giving thanks and praying, than anything formal. I thank Them for whatever grace They bestowed on me during the day and I ask for another 24 hours of grace for the next day.

This may sound dumb but what's a Senut, is it like a ritual or something else?

Senut is the Kemetic Orthodox daily shrine rite, where you spend time in shrine with your gods, give them offerings, talk to them.
it's our daily (or supposed to be daily.. ) date with Netjer

personally, since I don't get to Senut too often (life happens eh? ) I just talk to Them. mainly Daddy (Yinepu), cos the other 3 are a bit quieter.
make random offerings.
I also buy them stuff. I'll be out shopping and suddenly get a distinct "I want THAT!" from one of them. Particularly Bast if its green and/or shiny.
but mainly, I'm just aware that they're with me. and everyday I love them.

Recently, I've been painting my statue of Amun in order to get to know Him better. Learning about His preferences of color and the like.
Next up, a necklace for Bast-Mut, which will be green and shiney. :-D
Otherwise, I give them offerings of whatever I'm having, talk with them, buy them things - HetHert's got Her eyes on a necklace, belt and earring belly dancing set that feature cowrie shells. :)
