Traditional Witchcraft

I was just on this site http://www.thecrookedheath.com/elder/hallpage.htm and it describes Traditional Witchcraft, and i was wondering if anyone else has heard of it or if they practice it. Also there are a few terms that i don't know so if someone can help me. On the glossary, http://www.thecrookedheath.com/elder/lexicon.htm, it says

Does anyone know where this goddess comes from, is it Germanic or in some other culture, since i tried searching but can't find any references to 'Old Fate'.

Other than this referance, I can't really find anything else that relates this to traditional witchcraft without connecting it to Robin. I've heard of Traditional witchcraft and its similiar to the old folk ways of Anglo-saxons, Celtic and European people. Most of my practices are similiar to Traditional Witchcraft but I'm not a traditional witch.

this look more like the path i follow. americans normally see trad witchcraft as being gardenarian or alexandrian but here in the uk we look at it as being conneted to how our ancestors would have been practiced. like the hedgewitch for example, to me one of those would have been the wise man/woman of the village, so things in reality haven't chaged much just evolved.

Fetch can refer to one of the selves in our triple soul, as in the Feri tradition. Here Fetch is the part of ourselves that is childlike, playful, instinctual, and even primitive. It delights in play and indulging the senses, much like a child.

A fetch can also refer to a temporary elemental created by the magician for a specific purpose. It may obtain information, for example, or seek things out for you. I haven't worked with one, though there are instructions on how to do so in Witchcraft Theory and Practice by Ly de Angeles.

I am a traditional witch (going by the British viewpoint) but that site dosn't really sum up my beliefs at all (not to say its not traditional just that pre gardnarin there were more than one path). So its just one version of traditional witchcraft

I'm much more a Hedgewitch than anything, resembling the British Traditional path more than anything Neo-whatever. Just thought I'd throw in with everyone else :nyah:

Traditional paths very upon location and culture that it draws from. From traditional witchcraft to traditional druids, shammans, mystics. Most traditional paths follow closely to the tribal gods and ancesstors that gave birth to that culture, not nessassarly a religion of an entire country.
Time, conqurers and other religious faiths have so much influence on these older cultural beliefs, that even the most advent of a 'traditional' path follower has to admit that there is much that either has no physical nor historical facts to base certain aspects of the path beliefs, and very vauge or colored hints of history and cultural belief exists on others.
Not that I am saying that this is wrong, or that traditionalists are fakes or flukes, just that much research in the base cultural and spiritual beliefs should fist be examined about the traditionalists path.
I too am a traditionalist of sorts, I am a Geal Druis, a 'traditionalist Irish Druid'.
