boring! What do I do to stop life being boring? I'm not that crafty and don't have many supplies. I've read through every magazine and book.. GAH :awilly:

I know, I know it sounds wishywashy but hear me out...

Animal shelters... always looking for people to help --may lead to p/t or f/t job...

Seniors... many really cool and interesting older folks that are alone out there.. they may look and sound different--but they were young once and
all have experienced interesting things... even if its just to talk, do a puzzle,
cards.... I worked with seniors when I was a teen-- and what I learned gave me a heads up for what is around the corner lifewise...

Disabled... there are alot ways to offer time to people who are disadvantaged... either with trained people who take them out or at
special facilities...
I am in the 11th year with a guy who has Downs Syndrome-- I see him
once a week for 4 hours and I teach him art or crafts... it's not alot of time but I know its 4 hours that he really cherishes...

I think if you think of different ways to occupy yourself--you never know what that decision may lead to.... possible career, friendship,
the main thing is there's ALOT you could do--

boring! theres plenty of things to do to keep that from happening. sometimes, i just sit and stare at the wall. thats great fun! especially when you have all the lights off and a strobe light going,,, ofcourse i dont have one but it sounds like fun!

Last spring a drum circle started meeting in one of our city parks. It's completely free and there are usually a couple of extra drums for people who can't afford one or haven't decided yet that they want to buy one. There are other rhythm instruments too, like maracas and castanets and bells and sticks. A couple of guys wanted to play a different kind of rhythm so they started their own group that meets in a coffee house downtown and their group is free too. So then I was going to drumming circle twice a week, sooo NOT boring. Now another guy from a nearby town has started a new drumming circle that meets once a month, and that makes three drumming circles, way NOT boring. And then one of the belly dance groups asked a few of us if we'd come and drum once a month for their tribal group, incredibly NOT boring.

No...life is so STRANGE...hardly ever boring...

Just go volunteer at your local hospital...I promise you'll not be bored anymore....
