i have always wanted to talk to comatosed patients so i decided to attend a seminar on "death and dying" which our professor prepared for us. unfortunately, due to some inevitable circumstances, i was not able to attend so i relied on my classmates stories regarding the seminar.

one of the speakers was a woman named bearnie, who claimed that she the dead are always calling her to send messages to their loved ones who are still living. her specialty is alking to comatosed patients which really facinated me.

i heard from some people that mediumship is very risky... can anyone enlighten me? thanks a lot

Trance mediumship is especially risky (as in you can die or get seriously injured risky) but basically the problems are that your physical body is disturbed whilst in a trance

You know how like sometimes when you are falling asleep your body jumps -its kind of like that times a few thousands

The most famous case on such is probably Helen Duncan's (although her entire story is quite interesting let alone her death http://members.tripod.com/~helenduncan/

I've talked with the dead a few times, but I wouldn't call myself a medium. I don't do trances or seance`s or anything like that, just basic communication.

The only risky stuff I've run into while talking:

You have to have a firm grip on reality and yourself. Spiritual energy can spook you, even if you don't see it.

Treat spirits with respect and acknowledge that they're intelligent enough to understand you. Ask simple questions if something confuses you.

Nothing can hurt you unless you let it, so remember to protect yourself.
