If you have a pendulum test it out with questions you already know the answer to in order to determine which direction of the swing means 'yes' and which means 'no'. I wouldn't rely on the answers of the pendulum unless extensive testing yielded 100% accurate results. Your subconscious, a less than steady grip or a shaky table can affect the spin. If you don't own a pendulum you can make a simple one with a ring and a chain. Personally, I haven't had any success with pendulums but that doesn't mean you won't. Have fun!
