Greetings all,
This is for anyone reiki, other or both lol :). I was just wondering what techniques you use to 'scan' people for chakra and physical ailments to accurately interpret spiritual and physical problems within an individual and their aura? Any other tools or materials assist you eg crystals, brews etc? I find if Im able to do reiki on a person in person I can usually sense a majority of problems but its not very strong and I often overlook things because they don't really register on the "may be important" scale lol if that makes sense and long distance I rarely get much information at all, sometimes one or two strong things if Im lucky
Cheers and thanks for any tips,
Love and hugs,

I'm not a reiki practitioner but... For the Chakra scanning or any general scan, I "feel" around with my dominate hand. To get a better examination of the physical ailment, I'll put one hand over it, one under it, and run energy between my hands. I'm usually able to pick it up clearer then.

I am still really new to Reiki (thanks - you know who you are) so I have not tried with any objects yet. I find that simply running my hands above and over the body has given me some good "hay, over here's". Some areas pull harder than others.

I'm not Reiki, but I can generally feel it via touch (running hands over aura/energy) and sight.

I tend to see "black areas (spots)" in problem zones and I am also able to sense with touch on the person or animal where it "hurts". Their energy or bodies tell me how to massage or manipulate the area to ease the pain. I can also take the pain away with a thought about the person or give them the "kick" they need to start healing themselves.
I am not Reiki but am so willing to learn.

Ah, Scanning... now that can be an interesting thing. First, it's a developed skill so practice as much as you can.
What I do is this - Have the recipient laying down or seated, if possible and relaxed. Now, move your hands close to them - not *quite* touching them... Think about how you feel at that moment - do you feel good? bad? Uncertain? Move your hands over them (Again, don't touch - you can if you're intimate with the person but "rubbing" could be considered massage and, well, that could cause (legal) problems). Typicallys I go from head to toe and back. Try to get a feel for how they -feel- ... Try to feel their normality. It may take a pass or three, that's OK . When you get that, you can begin looking for the "bad spots" - they're the areas that just *feel bad* to you. You may or may not want to begin by CKR'ing your hands to cleanse them. That's up to you.
