does anyone else use the cards from a popular japanese cartoon called "cardcaptors" as tarot cards?
i use them, and they read better than most of my other tarot cards. 8O i don't know why, really, they just do.
the pictures are beautiful and complex.. yet so simple to understand. the meanings change with each spread you do.. each reading you give. it's amazing.
just the curiosity of a pan-child nagging in my mind. :heartthro

 Actually, you're the first person I've heard of reading the Clow Cards like Tarot cards (except that Sakura did it on TV.. hehe)... although there is a book out there that shows several spreads for them, I can't remember the name of it, and it's probably in Japanese (which I can't read 8O)..
Can you use the same spreads like Tarot cards?? How do you interpret them?

i use the same spreads as i would for regular tarot cards. the meanings for each card literally change per reading.
say.. someone wants to find out what their path has in store for them. say.. they get.. the fiery card. it could mean intense change, a burst of knowledge, or even just basking in the warmth you have found.
and if that same card showed up in.. say.. a relationship question.. it could mean passion, devotion, love. if it ended up being a troubled relationship, it might tell you that the relationship would burn out, it might get worse (out of the frying pan and into the fiery).
so the meaning for each one is different. it all depends on the feeling i get from the person, the question asked, and the general card itself.
hope that helps. :loveduv:

I forgot that I used to have the name Pans_Child. :T
I wonder if anyone else uses these cards as Tarot? Maybe we could start up a thread for interpretations of the cards?
