Hi:

I am brand new. I grew up Catholic, although for the past several years, I've pulled away due to many unanswered questions and difficulty understanding.

I was wondering if there was a pagan path out there that fit me. I understand that everyone is different and that if there isn't a match somewhere it's okay.

I was just wondering if someone knew about a path that I haven't heard about yet, so here are my beliefs:

*I believe in one God. I don't personify this God, meaning the way I see it, my God doesn't have human-like features/characteristics, etc.

*I am seeking a nature-oriented path/earth-related. I LOVE nature and whenever I see a beautiful scenery, I HAVE TO stop and stare; I'll take a picture if I have a camera handy. I enjoy staring into space, watching the moon, stars, planets, etc., as well as watching birds, trees, animals, etc.

*I don't think I can relate to reincarnation. However, according to the First Law of Thermodynamics, Energy cannot be created nor destroyed, so I think our energy after we die goes somewhere whether it combines with all the other energy around us, or some form of spiritual realm.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a religion or pagan path that is like what I've mentioned above? If not, I guess I am stuck with my own title for now.

I am not trying to "fit" or "mold" myself into a path, I just would like to know some more suggestions of paths that is similar to me so I can continue learning about what I like.

Thank you!

do you think you need to follow a specific path? or... are you happy describing yourself as an "Ecclectic Solitary Kitchen-Witch-In-Training Mystic Deist" for now? i descibed myself as an (cant remember exacly but it was something like) ecclectic celtic neopagan with a hint of wicca... or something... now i just call myself a Neo-Celt... im just following my beliefes ratherthan trying to mold then to a path that doesnt suit me...

Who needs classified?! Not me! :) lol I like to think of myself as an Eclectic Wiccan, since most of my beliefs fall into that catagory, but really, think of yourself as whatever you want. That is the beauty in Pagan "religions", you can believe in what you want. Pick and choose what applies to you and just call your self Eclectic.

How about a Naturalistic Pagan? OR perhapse a Unitarian Universalist Church would be a home for you? I can understand the need to have a lable as part of the process in finding a spiritual home. Let me find you a link on that Natrualistic Paganism....

Cryptic, don't ask us. We don't know. We have enough trouble with our own paths. The fun thing about paganism is discovering all the side streets and developing yourself into the pagan you were ment to be. However, sticking a label on so soon might hamper some of that freedom. So, be free and enjoy the ride. :)

Thanks all for your posts. :)

I never heard of naturalistic paganism, but it sounds pretty cool. I knew that someone would know about a path out there that would be closer to me!

Thanks! :D

Though you don't mention what specifically from Wicca and witchcraft you enjoy, and this might affect your answer to some degree, I suggest the term "pantheist" to you.

What is Pantheism?
Pantheism holds that the cosmos, taken or conceived of as a whole, is synonymous with God. The Cosmos is divine, and the earth sacred.
The Cosmos is divine,
all share divinity.
Divinity does not transcend reality
it surrounds us, and is within.
Divinity is immanent.

- Robb Miller

Pantheists do not propose belief in a deity; rather, they hold nature itself as a creative presence. Pantheism reconciles science and religion through ecology leading to strong environmental awareness.

Pantheists believe in Divine Immanence. To the Pantheist, divinity does not transcend reality; it surrounds, and is within. All share divinity. This leads the pantheist to personal ethics of tolerance and understanding.
