Big Favor to ask

I'm sure I'm not the only one this has happened to, but here goes.

People post threads offering to do readings, some of us reply and ask for one. Only problem is, we don't always hear back from the person offering the reading. I've asked for more than one, over a period of about five months, each from a different person, seeking anwers to very different questions. Out of about six different requests, I've only heard back from three people.

I know we all get busy in real life and most have families, jobs, etc....but if you're going to offer a reading, please, just a suggestion on my part, at least follow through on it.

This is just my rant for the first part of the New Year and the opinion expressed here, is only from me, even though others may feel the same.

I agree. As a reader myself, when I read for five people here on Mystic Wicks, I gave them their spread as soon as possible and if I was going to be a certain amount of time late, I would say so which would be no more than a day. That's how you A) Build trust and B) Get more people. The questions that are being asked are serious questions so treat them as such. If it wasn't a big deal, they wouldn't have asked at all. Its really sad when someone says, "I'll help you with your current life problem, leave it all to me!" and you never see them again, left with no solution and even more down in the dumps. If you said you'll read and agree, read and tell them. This isn't a for-the-time being thing, its a priority just like paying your bills.

I understand what you mean. I when I have posted that I was offering readings, I have always answered with a quick responce. Most of the time I do readings is on the weekends..that's when I have the most time to do them. It takes a while to type them up. I let people know that.

There's another thing about doing readings on MW here as a reader. It's that people request a reading...then you do your reading and then type it up..then you never hear back from the person requesting a reading. Most of the people who never give feedback are the people with one or two posts on the board. In other words, they just joined MW to get a free tarot reading.

If I spent an hour or 90 mintues setting here typing up someone's reading..and don't get any feedback..I am going to be a little pissed. Again, most of the people that don't give any feedback are the one's that have one or two posts. I'am leary about doing readings for those people. They get my time and energy for free..then I don't get any feedback from them on the reading.

I think the people who want a reading on MW should have a minimum of 25 posts before they should be able to request a reading. If this has happened to me..I am sure it has happened to others. Most people on here give me feedback of some sort which is great. It let's me know how the reading went.

Medit8ive_spirit, this could be the cause of some readers to just ignore your request for a reading. You certainly have a high post count and you wouldn't fall into the catogory of that which I spoke of.

Thank both of you for responding to my post. I agree with Kodachi as to the one requesting the reading, feeling that their questions are important or they wouldn't have asked. I also agree with SenseofSoul, that the requesters should respond to the reading, at the very least, with a thank you! Life is a give and take whether some chose to acknowledge it or not. Again, this is just my opinion. :hugz: to those that offer and actually follow through on readings!

Well,Obie said free readings,and did them right away,and they were so what others have said,even my own cards,and all she asked for was feedback,so I gave her the feedback she deserved,thanks Obie

This one is a reply to the statement that the people who are new to MW generally don't reply back.... I am fairly new to MW and I have very few posts..... mostly because when I have posted..... I have gotten no response... so that goes both ways... why should I waste my time asking for help if it falling on deaf ears...
