It's hot here....
You see in Tucson, the seasons don't change...
We have summer...and slightly colder summer... :D

Here.... There's winter.. and winter without snow.
I think the hottest it gets up here is about 75 farenheit (25 Celcius, if anyone can convert!) in the summer. :D 8O

Here are my goals for 2002:
1. I want to lose some weight and *keep it off*. It's cliche I know but my knee would really thank me for it. I'm never going to be able to work in the garden this summer unless it heals.
2. I want to travel more. I have only been outside of my time zone once in my life :(
3. Finish my MA.
I'm really an odd ball. I usually keep my new years resolutions. Last year they were to completely separate myself from my ex and not take him back; and to lose 30 lbs. I did both. Of course, I forgot to add *keep it off*. So I had better go back and add that to number 1.

I am quite jaded right now since the whole "abusive relationship" thing...although i am seeing a really really nice guy....*shrug*
To graduate college...(that's a good one...cause i am so afraid that i am not gonna....it's going to be a rough semester)....

Start doing my homework and not just copying it

I have a few:
1) To graduate high school (not gonna be hard)
2) Stop biting my nails...I cheated on that one already, but it's never too late
3) To eat better and stick with my vegetarian diet
4) Focus on what is really important
5) Write in my online journal everyday (good for noticing depression - something I have problems with in the winter)
6) Spend more time with friends and family
There's always more, but I think that's a good start.

I have a grand total of 17 resolutions. :ahhhh:
1. Stop thinking so negatively
2. Have all homework done the night before it's due
3. Get accepted to my college of coice
4. Spend time every night working on my reading assignments
5. Get my hair cut short
6. Have a better sense of humor
7. Never fake sick again
8. Pay attention in calculus and physics class
9. Do my laundry at regular intervals. When it is done, place said laundry on the appropriate hangers and in the appropriate drawers, NOT heaped in a laundry basket. Place dirty laundry in the laundry hamper, NOT in a pile on my bedroom floor. (What can I say? I'm lazy!)
10. Practice my clarinet more often
11. Go out with friends more often
12. Go through the entire month of January without playing Baldur's Gate II. (I've already broken this one)
13. Go outside more often
14. Find a better place to sit than in front of the computer. May sound silly, but I can't get anything done with that thing tempting me with thoughts of the internet and games. :ugh:
15. Spend more time studying the craft and other religions.
16. Remember there are things in life worth celebrating. And celebrate them.
17. Return all of my library books on time
Hehe, and if you read all that, I'm proud of you. :)

YOU MUST LET ME READ! I want to before you make any definite Changes!

Add me to the "Get more Organized" List :D
I also want to stop yelling at my kids so much. It is so hard though LOL!!
My daughter and I want to break our "bad habits" together. She is supposed to stop sucking her thumb and I have to stop biting my nails.
Really work on my Path- start doing instead of just reading. I feel that this year will be a turning point for me.
And last, I need to stop playing the martyr and take some time for me for a change.
Any bets on how long these will last? :D
Blessings to all of us that we reach our goals.

Well, I've already started my New Year's resolutions...on Tuesday morning, I smoke my last cigarette, throwing the last four in the garbage, and I've been doing surprisingly well with the small cravings (in other words, I'm not chewing my fingernails down to the elbows!! LOL) and I'm starting to watch what I eat, and how much of it I eat. Still working on the late-night snacking though...
Looking forward to being about 60 lbs lighter and much healthier by July!!! Cross your fingers for me!!
