I hate coming on here and having nothing but complaints, specially since I haven't been on...(one good thing is I work a lot)
I am having heart problems....palptations; irregular heartbeat.
The other problem is that I don't have good health insurance, nor do I have the money to pay for meds, or anything else I need for this.
My car is broken down, accually just a flat tire, but I have no money to get this repaired.
I just need some energy, support in anyway......
Just when u think things are going well.......something else happens....
thanks for any support, and energy!

Have you actually had it checked so that you know it's a physical problem? I had something very similar to that and it turned out to be due to stress.

best wishes for the money situation as well, hope you can find a way out of it somehow. Have a :hugz: .

I went to the hospital last night for this, because I was having chest pains for a day..
this started Saturday night, it felt like my heart was going to explode.
I have had a panic attack before. I know what that feels like.
This is different. It feels like my heart stops for a second, then starts back up again, and it hurts. It happend several times yesterday.
Of course when I went to the hospital it stopped. I've been ok so far today, except for a fast heart rate.
thanks for te hugs:)

That's exactly what it was like for me .. it stops for a second, then bam, starts again with a jolt , then soemtimes it races so that you feel like it's going out of control. They gave me some little pink pills for it, sorry I can't be any more specific, which seemed to work.

Yeah, palpitations are usually caused by stress. They generally aren't really serious or do any damage to the heart, as far as I know. My mom had them for years and I've had them a few times myself.

What did the doctor at the E.R. tell you?

Good point about too much caffeine or other stimulants. What about diet drugs/supplements, can they cause heart palpitations?

I've had those spans in my life, Crimson. I know what it feels like to think its finally getting better, then .... BAM! It DOES get better. Sending positive thoughts that it gets better faster. :hugz:

I'm adding my two cents on the heart issues, too. I've been to the ER on several occasions for the same thing you've described. Like others have said... its usually caused from stress. Stress is definitely something you have every reason to be feeling right now. Might I suggest some quiet meditation time? It did wonders for me.

Yeah, I take a multi-vitamin each day, along with a fish oil capsule, a black cohosh root capsule, and an estroven supplement for hot flashes and bone loss. With my ADD I was having a terrible time remembering to take the pills. The folks in my support group talked with me about about my routine and what is the one thing I always do every day, and what is the first thing I do each day. The first thing that I do every day and have done consistently for the last 45 years is to put on my glasses. So I put the supplements into one of those daily dose cases you can buy cheaply at the pharmacy and put it on my bedside table where I put my glasses every night. So far I've only missed two doses in the last month. That's amazing for me!

I hope the supplements help you as much as they have helped me.

Added: I buy my supplements at Dollar General where they are much cheaper. And it may be a good idea for you to begin with one supplement, and then add another after a week. But that's just how I usually do it because I am sensitive/allergic to so many things.

Hi. :)

Rescue Remedy, which is a Bach Flower Essence, works wonders for anxiety and stress. A few drops under the tongue for immediate relief, or a dropper-full in a bottle of water that you sip during the day.

Also, motherwort tincture is great to help, too. I'm at the 'peri-menopause' age and wake occasionally to find my heart racing; I take some motherwort in a glass of water and all is well.

I've been experiencing this off and on for awhile now too. It could be too much caffeine, judging by what my doctor said. It just scares me because my brother has the same symptoms and he has a heart murmur and has to take a medicine called atenolol. Hope you get to feeling better hun!

I was just checking what supplements might be helpful in treating my migraine headaches, which have been worse the last few months, and found studies on magnesium deficiency and a link to migraines. Further research shows that magnesium deficiency also seems to be associated with asthma, anxiety attacks, depression, diabetes, hypertension, kidney stones, heart palpitations and heart disease.

I'm starting to take 500 mg of magnesium per day and am hoping it will help decrease the frequency, severity and duration of my migraines. I hope it will also help with my hypertension (high blood pressure). When I read that it could help prevent heart palpitations I knew I had to post that information here, because I don't believe in coincidence. I bought a bottle at the grocery store that contains 200 tablets for $1.79 (Nature Made brand) so it's not that expensive to give it a trial, less than a nickel a day for two 250 mg tablets.
