i am new so i dont know quite how this works but am a foster parent for my niece and on jan 31st we go back to court and that court date will determine if her moms rights will be terminated and i will be able to adopt her. her mother has 7 children in total and 2 were adopted bey her mom and 2 are in foster care one is adopted by a good friend of mine i have one and the last child she has. i know that i should worry but she is only trying to fight for this child and did'nt fight for the rest of the children i am afraid that if i allow her to get her back she will not take proper care of her. i have had her for 3years now she just turned 5 she dont call her or see her by choice and i just need some positive energy as well as advice on what i should do

Is Children's Protective Services involved? Have you talked with a lawyer?
Sending energies for the best possible outcome for this child and all her siblings.

thanks everyone i just want this whole thing to be over. yes protective services is involved and she(the mother) has a lawyer and my niece has her lawyer and social workers and they all say that i should'nt worry because with her track record with her other children we have an excellent shot. my concern is my niece because she don't know her. when the court set up a visit she did not show up and when she did my niece cried kicked and screamed.

So, the mom hasn't been around her daughter enough for the kid to recognize her and be comfortable with her? That should weigh against her in court I'd think. Where is the child's father?

:hugz: Positive energy for the best possible outcome.
From what I've read, you've got a pretty good chance at this going the way you'd like. There's a lot going your way.
