Not sure what to make of these dreams... so I thought I'd take them here and see what ya'll think. :)
Last Friday night I had a dream I was laying in a beautiful golden pasture, looking up at a gorgeous blue sky filled with thousands of Hawks and Vultures, and a few hundred Ravens. They were circling above me, and I was filled with peace and joy.
Occasionally, a small group would come down and land on me for a moment, silently. It was a great comfort.
Then a group of the Vultures came down, and like the others landed peacefully upon me. One of them, however, ripped a huge chunk of my upper right arm off. My arm still worked, there was no pain or fear. The peace remained with me.
Then last night I had a dream that I was at a zoo, and I somehow ended up in the Lion enclosure. A great male Lion was standing in front of me protectively, and again, I was totally at peace. A young girl ran into the enclosure fearfully, chased by a Lioness - who was the embodiment of rage. Even so, beyond some concern about the girl, I was at peace. The Lion moved to protect me when the Lioness was around.
Suddenly, the Lioness ran through, chasing the girl, but this time she noticed me, and turned upon me. She angrily bit my right hand off. The male Lion did nothing to prevent her, and I was not in pain or fear.
It was so real that my right hand has felt... "ghostly" all day. Like it's not really there.
Now, Vultures and Lions are both important to my Gods as a Kemetic Orthodox member. Bast-Mut is associated with both creatures, and Lions are associated with Sekhmet, which is the other half of HetHert, my beloved.
So what do you guys think?
