I've always been an organized person. I guess being introduced at an early age to the geneological pantheon of Greece and Rome has placed me in the position of finding the geneological links between dieties of certain cultures, however I have not found one satisfactory "Family Tree" of the Egyptians. Is there even one? What are your thoughts?

Well wolfsong one of the reasons that there seems to be no family tree in Egypt is that it was a large civilization... egypt is a combination of upper and lower Egypt,,Technically two different countries with two different sets of Gods,,,Also each city, town, village and Family had gods of their own to honor and worship..Some decended from the nomadic peoples of the desert, some were from the nubian and mediterranian cultures and some were from the peoples that they conquored....All together when we look at the evidence left of the culture we find no less than several HUNDRED dieties that were worshipped at one time or another...The Egyptian culture especially in its infancy was a culture that absorbed the best from other lands and incorporated these things into their polotics, culture, languagr, government and especially their religion...Hope this helps...I will be getting out the old tomes and seeing if I can post a listing of the major dieties and their place of worship...Would this help?
