My mother forgot! :( I told her on the 10th, and she was so surprised! Despite the fact that I'm hardly any bit Christian, we generally celebrate it in some way...though we did leave our nativity up until the 6th, so that's something.

What exactly is Three Kings Day?

My mother, a Catholic, is from Peru and told me the tradition there basically says that this day celebrates when the "three" kings/wisemen visit the baby Jesus and give him their gifts. On that day, children also generally receive three little gifts.

It's also somewhat similar to the Twelve Days of Christmas in a sense that we have Christmas on the 25th-ish, but we keep our nativity and whatnot set up until the 6th-ish.

Hope I didn't confuse anyone. Byzantine Catholics celebrate both the Theophany and the Epiphany (or the Three Kings Day).
