Strange Dreams

I always try to give up my wiccan ways.

i always feel like its too strong...it scares me..

but every time i do, it calls me back. it takes me. it swallows me.

i dream of cats, a symbol of witchcraft and magical powers.

this runs in my family. i'm pretty freaked out...

help?

Cats can symbolize many things in dreams. Including...cats. But if you associate it with witchcraft and magical powers, maybe these dreams of cats are a way of a spirit guide, in the form of a cat, making it's presence known to you. Maybe not, but could be.

Being on a spiritual path or any path of self-discovery can reveal many mysteries. Sometimes the enormity of these mysteries can be frightening. And when some of these mysteries actually become understood, things can be even scarier. Ignorance is bliss, but as someone replaces ignorance with knowledge, things aren't always quite so blissful. And the feelings that come with the acquisition of this knowledge, sometimes very powerful feeling, can also be scary. But none of this is actually anything to be afraid of. it's kind of like being on a scary roller coaster. You might get that frightened feeling in your stomach, but it's still a pretty cool ride.

Maybe try to ease your way into it. Don't push it away to an extreme so far that you crash back into it. Just maybe try to keep it under control and be gentle with it. Go slow. Become familiar with it all gradually. Things should be ok, in my opinion. I'm no expert on Wicca at all, not even close, but that's what I'd do regardless of which path you're on.
