In celebration, as it were, of the Paths tree's primary focus, I'm presenting my chosen Tradition for discussion. The Lycian Tradition is most distinguished from others on a handful of points:
Initiations. First = entrance/admittance. Second = honing skills. Third = examining the heart and spirit, through the Wild Hunt (or "Being Taken by the Wolves"). This differs from most Traditions in not using the Great Rite as the Third Initiation.
Element placement. East = Earth. North = Water. South = Fire. West = Air. For astrological reasons, explained in further resources I link to later.
Use of Tarot as a "Holy Book," not neccessarily for divination. Major Arcana represent high deities with distinct personalities. Court cards are lower and incarnant deities. Pip cards are the primal creative forces of nature, the foundation of existance.
Firm belief in Astral Projection. Initiations may be performed on the Astral, as may other gatherings. In particular, we believe we may leave our bodies to take the "forms" of animals, especially the Wolf.
Elaborate Lycian Wheel of the Year, with adapted myth cycle, and special ritual pantacle imprinted with the complex image of the Wheel. We are also a fairly serious bunch. Nothing against humor mind you, we're just a bunch of realists is all. Admittedly, we are also a young Tradition, as such things go. There are other details, but I think that gets you started pretty well. I recommend listening to the PodCast, and in order -- which means scrolling to the bottom of the page and starting there. I don't know why that site feels the need to do things upside down.
