Folks, it's currently windchills of minus digits, not just where I live, but in many places. I'd like to suggest that, if you can, donate some blankets, gloves, or cash to a homeless shelter, or just buy a cup of hot coffee for the guy who hangs outside your local Store 24, or wherever in your community.

At the very least, send some energy to these people for the Goddess's protection in these deadly conditions.

I send my thoughts and energy to the homeless. I hope they find shelter and warmth during these dangerously cold times.

It's still unseasonably warm where I live -2C (uhh 29F??) but I do feel so sorry for the homeless, especially in the winter when many of the shelters are full. It's so sad :(

Homeless people are not all beggars standing on street corners.
Some are families living in their car!!

Thats what I did when I was homeless and thats what a friend of mine did when she was homeless.

When you live in the boonies you usually have a car since everything is miles away and there are no buses or taxis. If you fall on hard times and cant pay rent, utilities and what not and get kicked out, often your car ends up becoming your home. And communities like ours dont have shelters. So your car ranks second to your home as important cause if you loose your home, you still have your car. And a car is much better to sleep on than a snow bank!! I slept in a snow bank when I was a homeless teenager in the metro. Car is much better!!!

So maybe you just dont know about them because they are not standing on street corners.

Well its nice that there are areas that dont have a homeless population.

It'll be nice if the day ever comes that we have none here too!!
My towns only 3,000 people and we have a some homeless here.
As fast as one finds a place to stay, another is out there looking.

May the Great Ones wrap them in a comforting blanket. I am sending energies to them, for comfort, security, and financial growth. In Columbus Ohio, there are a lot of homeless people. I will say, the homeless shelter is pretty decent and the churches do a lot to help out. It is humbling to go work the food line on Thanksgiving for the homeless. It makes you appreciate everything you have.
