I've been doing some research on different types of pagan faiths, but I'm not really looking for a religion, per se. I've seen sites where they say there's witchcraft not practiced as a religion, as you might practice Wicca. This being in the sense that one reveres/worships/etc. a God and/or Goddess. But other sites say that Witchcraft is just like Wicca. I can't seem to find many sites or references where Witchcraft is taught or outlined in a non-religious way.

So, my question is, is there truly a practice of witchcraft that isn't a religious sense? And if there is, could someone pretty please direct me to some resources about it?

Maybe it would be helpful if I outlined my beliefs also, so that anyone could direct me to info based on that.

I guess I see nature as a force to be revered and respected. Animals and plants all have sort of, energies and energy is a part of life and could be manipulated. (Sorry, I'm really vague.) But I don't believe in a "creating force" like God or anything like that. I'm a firm believer in evolution and the big bang and scientific theories. As for death, I think that after we die we're reincarnated, but in between there are times when we're in a spirit world, and can stay there, hence I also believe in ghosts and other spirits like that.

I hope someone can help me out, I've been looking for info for a really long time.

I think that what you're really looking for is information on Paganism/Witchcraft that is not presented in an authoritarian way. I think you're interested in examining various theories & ideas, and playing with them in your mind until you get something that you're happy with. This is pretty much what the concept of Personal Religion dictates. Personal Religion, among Pagans, in largely practised in many covens & fellowships. The idea behind Personal Religion is that it is Personal to the Owner. Thus it is you who must come up with these bright ideas and put them into practice.

The learning tools of other traditions already are available to you. Go to your local big-chain bookstore. Look in the Occult/etc section. Pick a book start reading. At most bookstores you can read and read without ever buying. This is an excellent technique that I personally have NEVER used, but it is smart. lol. When you have finished reading all of the hundreds of books, let me know, I'll give you a PhD in something.

Another tool that is available is MW. Look in the Paths forums/etc where people are stating what they believe. You can research their ideas and progress from there. Also, there is the Circle of Teaching forums that are quite helpful.

I hope you have a good journey. :D
