My hubby and I didn't get a honeymoon. We've wanted to do something, anything, for a long time but things have been tight. With our income tax we've decided to go to Atlanta for the night and stay in a nice hotel and eat at a nice restaurant. We're going to the new aquarium the next day. I'm really excited, but I'd like to have some romantic ideas. I'm going to request a room with a bathtub, bring some champagne, etc. Anyone have any other ideas? BTW, here's the hotel we're staying in and it has a rotating restaurant on top which is where we'll have dinner.

Rose petals... for the bed, etc.
Did you tell the people when you were booking the room that this is to be your honeymoon?
Alot of times they will do special things like put flowers and champagne in the room, etc.

And when you do that, just be aware of the fact that your body, clothes and bedsheets will get stained. ;)

Not to mention thorns. Personally, I like my roses in a garden, or a vase.
Get new PJ's and don't let him see them. Something sexy, but it doesn't have to be Victoria's Secret sexy, just something he hasn't seen before. Or new underwear. Ditto on the don't let him see it.

Was there anything you two did a lot when you were first dating? Doing something reminiscent is a nice sort of sweet romantic thing.
Massaging each other is also great. Find or make some nice-smelling oil!

i think there are a million things people can tell you to do to make it more romantic but i think the fact that you are getting away together for some uninterupted you time is more than romantic on its own...and you shouldn't fuss too much over everything cause if you try too hard it wont be the same...just enjoy each other and if you want to do little things like the new nighty or undies...or something like that fine do it cause you want too but not cause you feel you need to...the night way is about the two of you and that should be the focus...not all the fuss. i hope you have a great time!

We missed out on a honeymoon too but had a good holiday the following year. Just spending time together away from it all was enough. But I did enjoy watching the sunsets over the lakes together and perhaps a mutual body massage with some sweet smelling oil would be good.

Yeah I think being alone together is the biggest thing. Last night we drank a couple of bottles of wine (a little too much lol) and lit candles all over the living room. We talked and listened to music for hours and it was so romantic.
