the other nite, i was dumping sum bags in the bin and i noticed this stick. i'd been looking for a wand and this stick was absolutely perfect. it was just lying right in front of me, and i know it sounds cheesy, but it was in the light of the moon as well.
it was an amazing moment.

anyways HAPPY NEW YEAR   :shift: :nonono:

You know, I've been looking around for just that 'perfect' wand myself... thought I'd found one and when it dried out it crumbled into dust. I'd prefer to make my own, but I came across a website not too long ago that will custom make them to your specifications, but it'll cost you. Sounds like a good idea, but there's something about having someone else putting their 'vibes' into a tool that I'll be using... Anyone else have that feeling about it or am I just being 'paranoid'?

I suggest to make it yourself.
I'm going to make one this summer for myself.
I think tht it is not good tht smone else makes it for you.
Not tht I'm scared of evil magick [maybe I should],
but I think tht it would be "stronger" with your own faith, beleif and magick in it.
from your hearth, all tht hard work energy you gave it etc.
you see what I'm pointing.

only my thought

That's pretty much my feelings on it as well. Maybe the stick I found wasn't meant to be it, cuz when I started to add my own things to it, it cracked and splintered. I'd like to make one soon, unfortunately, I'm not finding one that feels good to me. Guess I'll just wait, something will turn up, it always does.

Why to wait.
Go in a forest
And look for some tree or branch, that grabs your site
You smhow know tht it is yours.
Happens often when in right mood.
Bye!

I've always found that when I'm patient I always find the perfect tools for me. They just show up. I found my wand just leaning up against a tree when I went for a walk, and I found my magickal staff sticking right out of the ground in my path on another walk I took in the forest. I think everyone should make (or atleast customize) their own tools if at all possible. I believe that every minute you spend making a ritual tool will add to its power (although tools themselves only hold power when you give it to them, IMO) and will help your compatibility with it.

I agree... most of the tools I've needed have come to me without my searching. I need a staff too, but I'm not as anxious to find that as I am a wand. I'm sure they'll show up when they need to; like everything else I've needed/wanted.

i have the same idea about tools, its just more personal if i make it myself, i've still got to start on the wand but thats because i've got a piece of quartz that i've been saving :) but its at my flat which and i spent christmas at home, so i've got to wait till monday :(

I have a Crystal wand! The crystal yelled at me at a gem show a couple of years ago. My staff is a young cottonwood tree that was cut down along a stream in a park. I took it home, trimmed it down, sanded it by hand, then varnished it. It looks as good today as it did way back then..BTW, I call it the Staff of Retribution (cause I'm always threatening a dog with it), My kids call it the Staff of Retro Sixties......nobody takes my threats to seriously......Sigh.

I completely agree with you. When I was looking for a wand I decided to wait for the wand to present itself to me and it did. I found an awsome peice or drift wood on the beach and made mine out of that.
