LOL Gypsy I was wondering the same thing. I however do not know of any but then i've never really looked for that either. :D I may have to just out of curiosity.

by the way I am not making fun of your problem, I have known a couple of women with that issue just never thought of herbally dealing with it. :)

Don't take something to lessen your sex drive. Enjoy it while it lasts and send praises to the Goddess!

I'm gonna try to answer the ? seriously and ignore the previous responses.

An essential oil made of hops or camphor lotion.

The green way.

HEY! I was answering seriously.

And camphor isn't particularly good for you. One of its uses is insecticide. Just saying.

Are you on any meds? Sometimes I've been on meds (Wellbutrin and even Xanax) that made me too horny for my own good. I totally understand how such a thing can exist, by the way. :)

If it's a common state of things, generally relaxing teas like chamomile will likely help.

Believe me, I know what she means. Not that I want to do anything about it, but I know what she means. :hahugh:

No, seriously, it's bad. It's a curse, I tell you.

And yet I can't stop smiling. :hahugh:

Been through that for a few years, then no drive for two years, it is finally starting to come back, hopefully at a more responsible level. I have no idea what hormone changed, however, I have four to five hairs that grow where females don't normally have hair that stopped growing while it was no longer a problem. Now both the hair, and the drive are back. Can't we find a compromise?

How can anyone sex drive be to high? It seems kinda hard to me. Anyway if you really want to lessen it though herbs I would try herbs that calms a person.

Lavender Herb Tea
Ingredients
1 tsp. dried lavender flowers
1 tsp. dried chamomile flowers
1 tsp. green tea leaves
4 cups boiling water
Place the herbs in a warmed teapot. Pour in boiling water, cover, and steep for 3-5 minutes. Strain and serve, sweeten with honey if desired
Anise Tea
Ingredients:
1 cup boiling water
1 tsp. dried anise leaves
1 tsp. honey
Pour the boiling water over the leaves and steep for about 5 minutes-a little longer if you like it strong. Strain and sweeten with the honey. This makes a nice licorice type beverage.
Calming Herb Tea
1 tsp. dried peppermint leaves
1 tsp. dried lemon balm leaves
Add these to a tea pot and add 1 1/2 to 2 cups of boiling water. Steep for about 5 minutes, strain and add sugar or tea for a soothing herbal tea.
Chamomile Herb Tea
2 tablespoons fresh chamomile flowers
2 cups boiling water
2 thin slices of apple
honey to taste
Rinse the flowers with cool water. Warm your tea pot with boiling water. Add the apple slices to the pot and mash them with a wooden spoon. Add the chamomile flowers and pour in boiling water (2 cups). Cover and steep for 3-5 minutes. Strain the tea into two cups (or one if it's just you!). Add honey to taste.

Mead - there are some good medical reasons - for some, with severe medical problems, one intimate encounter can lead to one or more days of bedrest, not to mention the other physical pain afterwards.

Once a month is about all some can handle.

Or, maybe it is just a distraction from the more important things in life?

I tend to agree with Meadhbh about soothing the levels of excitement in the brain as seratonin is directly linked to your sex drive. I find her suggestions worth trying as well. I also found this tid bit about the herb Savory which may help you. I would try cooking with it as I don't think a tea would taste particularly well but you can try a tsp of herb to 6oz of water with lemon and honey to taste if your feeling brave.

History - Historically, savory has a reputation for regulating sex drive. Winter Savory is said to decrease sex drive, while Summer Savory is said to enhance it. Romans used Savory as an herb and seasoning even before they used pepper. They used it as a medicine, a bee sting treatment, and an aphrodisiac. When the Romans brought it to England, it was used as an ingredient in stuffing rather than as an herbal remedy.

You may also want to think about the possibility that your bored. Some people turn hypersexual when they haven't enough of something to do to divert the energy. You may find that a physically engaging sport or exercise will help. You might try karate, boxing, running, or rollerblading something that helps control the insatiable thirst.
