When you recieved your first Crystal

ok folks . i was curious as to when you recieved your first crystal. also were you into the craft or another religion.

I`ll go first.

I recieved my first crystal 22 years ago when i first entered high school. i was at a city park where they were selling crystals at the time. The type i bought was an irradiated quartz.

Gosh I dont remember!!! I have to much of that stuff around and dont even know which is the first anymore!!

My first was a quartz crystal my mother bought me.

The first I can remember is actually a collection of small stones. My father was in the Navy and he gave me and my sister (we were pretty young, I was probably 8ish) each a box with several small stones glued into it from some South American Port. I have no idea where it is now or what stones were in it, but that box was definately what sparked my interest in stones and crystals.

Gee I still have no clue. I look at them and I have no idea when I got any of them!

The only thing I have remotely close that has a time memory attached to it is my rock!! I found it at a Native Am Indian site when I was 7. Its precious to me. It has spirit. Its also is the only thing I have from my childhood!

Its a part of me like no other object could be. Sometimes I feel so close to it, it is as though it is me!

My friend, Charlotte, gave me the first crystal I can remember owning. It was probably about 16 years ago and the crystal was a going away present when I quit the job where we met. I wasn't into any religion at all at that time and neither was she, but she's always had an affinity for stones and now she makes healing necklaces and bracelets.

Well, I was always draggin stones in from outside, drove my mom nuts. My son tries to do the same thing.

The first crystal was from a friend of mine that went to a cave somewhere and got it from the cave, so it wasn't blasted out or anything. She gave me 2, on stays in my car, the other one is in my bedroom.

First crystal that I found was an Amethyst when I was 7 years old. There was a gravel pit up the road from where I lived and in some of the dig sites were mass amounts of Amehtyst crystals. No 7 year old could have resisted.

The crystal I hold dearest as far as something given to me is a lazer wand that I recieved from a teacher of mine when we went our seperate ways about 21 years ago... here's a pic of it.. its a 7 inch DT water clear from tip to tip and flawless. Even has a small trigger crystal (upper right side)

Oh my gosh...I always have collected stones for as long as I can remember. Lets see...the pieces that I have had for the longest is probably an orange agate that I found at the bay...also the biggest of my clear quartz pieces too, and a blue dyed agate bought at Facets...yup, I think those are my oldest. I got those when I was around thirteen or fourteen.

That is an awesome gift. And from the pic it looks natural and not manmade. I think the largest crystal wand i have is 4 inches. A 7 inch DT grade A+(Water clear) has got to be worth at least $100 USD.:fpraise:

My first crystal was a small rounded tumbed one I found in a bag of timbed stones I had bought a very long time ago. Just after my initiation into the Craft. I kept it for years as it always sang to me from day one.

Now my best crystals came from my exboyfriend some years ago. I will take some pics and post them later today. They are to me amazing.

my first crystal had to be the one I found when I was about 11 we were rock hounding at a place called topaz mountain, normally to get any big nice peices you have to climb the top and dig but this one I found in a sandy wash, bigger and more perfect then any others we found that day,
mt first Crystal necklace was a pink quartz given to me by my ex boyfriend from 1989 I still have it, but not him!:lol:

I have a phone camera and nothing else. So the picks are not good as there is no good light today. And my phone is getting old and so is the little camera. But here are my two main quartz crystals. One is a large double terminated "Garden" crystal. It has lovely inclusions. The other is alarge chunk out of a quartz crystal wall and is all clear and shaped naturally as a heart. My exboyfriend gave these to me.

I think the first crystal I ever got was a huge amethyst crystal (we're talking a point like 2"), when I was around 9 or 10. Even then I was fascinated by witchcraft! :lol:

I also used to save all my money to buy small bags of assorted tiny tumbled crystals.
