For the past month and a half I haven't had many dreams and when I do dream I haven't been able to remember anything from them. Nothing stands out and their not clear. See, my dreams for the past few years have been clear, I don't know really how to describe it except when their not clear its like I'm looking at everything through a thin cotton veil. The veil is off when the dream is clear and I see and remember lots of details. Before December I would dream and remember it every other night it seemed but once December and the January hit it just suddenly ceased until the past two days. Then I was suddenly having these clear dreams and I was wondering what ya'll thought of them.

In the first dream I was standing outside my house and looking out across the neighborhood at the sky which was cloudy. It was very windy and the clouds were moving fast across the sky. In the clouds I saw the form of a woman with blonde curly hair that hadn't been brushed. She was large, like a giant, but she was floating and seemed to be apart of the clouds; everything from the waist down blurred and faded back into the clouds while everything from that point up was clearly defined.

She looked at me and started talking but all I could hear was a whisper. Then she got closer until she was next to my house and went to where my window is (I was still standing on the porch). She leaned over to it and started talking and I was able to hear. She said something along the lines of "The time is coming to be prepared,"

Then she floated to where I was and looked at me again and said, "You could be like Alice Through the Looking Glass if you want to join me/us, all you have to do is go in and step through the mirror," I told her no and went inside. I got the impression that the woman was somehow me, not right now but when I'm older.

The weird thing about that dream is the line she said about being prepared was said to me in another dream. According to my dream journal it was back in September and I remember it very clearly. I had been dreaming about something different when it was like someone has shouted in my ear, "You don't have much time, you aren't prepared/ready yet!"

That made me bolt straight out of sleep it startled me so much. I don't know what the connection is between these two occurences; any ideas?

Another dream I had was last night and was very strange. I was with my brother and we were driving a stolen van and hiding in a lot of chicken barns because a sniper was hunting us. During one part we were driving the van and went past a certain patch of scenery that I had seen in another dream and remembered it. This happens sometimes, I see something similar from another dream or remember other dreams while I'm dreaming. In the first dream after I went in the house I told my mother about the giant cloud girl and how I remembered the line from the other dream I'd had. Is this normal? Does everyone do this sometimes in their dreams?

About the second part of you post: this happens to me too and I wondered if it was normal. I distinctly remember being told that you're not supposed to have this kind of memory ability in dreams. Now I'm not sure if that person knew what he was talking about. Not only does my waking-world reality draw over into dreams (if I need to shave irl, I'm usually stubbly in the ream as well, for example) but I also remember bits of other dreams while I'm dreaming. Upon waking up, this can be checked in my dream journal, so I know it's not a false memory.

My one disappointment is that these dream memories don't trigger my "oh, I'm having a dream" response and help me take control of the dream. I miss lucid dreaming and am having a hard time getting back into the practice. :(

Yeah, I wish I could do lucid dreaming, I haven't yet managed. But the remembering thing happen quite often in my dreams. Another thing that I've found strange is that they often repeat. It doesn't happen all the time but sometimes while I'm dreaming I will remember dreaming a certain event that I'm involved in in the dream from earlier in the night. One particular one, i was running from someone with a gun in a Walmart and was shot in the neck. I went down on the ground and saw a gold medallion on the floor as I was starting to black out. I then remembered being shot and seeing that medallion from earlier only I blacked out and didn't wake up so I fought to keep awake and managed to finish the dream. Do you do this too?

I've asked my mom about it but she's never done it so she can't really help me much. But I've found that one the important dreams I have they repeat and I remember them while I'm dreaming and often change how I react or do something based on what I remember. Any thoughts?
