And, how will you spend the time?

What do you think? Power stays on or goes out?

You prepared with flash lights and stuff?

Calling for up to 13 inches here. I don't care. We have not had much winter to speak of and that concerns me. I like each season and feel shortchanged when one of them is truncated. Bring it on.

They're calling for 6 to 10 inches here.
We'll be doing the usual.
Shovel out the walkway and that's it.

All of our kids have fevers so none will go play in it.
Oh well.

Well, I hope you do enjoy it if you like that kind of thing.

We have a bit of snow but if I sit tight, it will just go away in a day or two.

I hope you are all stocked up and have a way to stay warm, just in case.

They're saying about a foot. Which isn't really all that bad, so I don't know why everyone's in a panick.

I miss my dear Texas. I sit here in CT wondering if this is ever going to actually happen. I have not looked outside in hours. This was supposet to start, according to the weather technophiles, this afternoon, but has now been pushed back to the wee hours. Hmmmmm. Nature will take her course when she is ready.

I remember in NY, Watertown lost everything almost every winter sometimes for a couple of weeks or so. But, I don't think they will get the main impact of this one.

I think I will go to the Syracuse.com forum and mock the locals out. :)

Here in Newfoundland, we've been having a blizzard almost every week since the last week of January. There was one yesterday that wasn't called for at all, starting just before noon. I think we got like... um... 20 or something centimetres. Well, it was a snowfall warning, which is never good. And we lost power a few times last week as well.

So... yeah. I think I'm getting used to helping my parents shovel ourselves out of the house. XD

They were prediciting 6-12 for us. I think we have 6-8 so far. That is not so bad.
We'll shovel out, let the kids play and I'll freeze my butt off.

Same here but it is still snowing. Weather channel says the storm warning is through 3:00 P.M. so we may get the max anyway.

I still think it is much ado about nothing. It is the dead of winter... it is supposed to be snowing... there would be something dreadfully wrong if it wasn't.

The earth needs balance. If it were pleasantly warm at this lattitude year round that balance would not exist. The winter must follow summer just as night follows day. Much of creation sleeps during the winter. It is hard to sleep with the light on.

Considering how north I live I am suprised at the lack of snow we have and cold weather this year and heck my year is almost bare. As for ice in the forn that is a different story though.

I got snowed in!! ...Or I was until my brother swept the car out and braved the driveway. It was quite an adventure. I made sushi to pass the time... lots of yoga too.

My flight out of NYC for tomorrow is cancelled, with no hopes of rebooking until Feb. 19. I managed to get on a night flight out of Newark for tomorrow, but I won't get home until over 24 hours later. I hate this. I hate this! I just want to get back and see my dog and start up work without having to look forward to 3 weeks of 1-day weekends. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!! sob sob sobbbb.

All of my sick kids suddenly were cured and just had to play in the snow. :geez:

I want snow! We haven't had a good amount of snow here in southeastern NC since January 2000. We got 18- 20 inches then. I want a foot and half of snow soon! (Isay this today when I'm complaining about trying to stay warm ;) )
