Ok, this is going to sound weird, but has anyone done or knows of the effectiveness of spells that change how you phisically are? I'm not talking glamour or anything, but say if there was something about yourself that you wanted to change and were unable to go about it medically (at the moment), can you do it? Nothing major, of course, but....... I dunno... I have a lot of the usual "guy" issues and was curious as to the things I could look into to help myself.
And no, I'm not talking about the size of a certain part.... :D :p
Kinda crazy, but I'd appreciate any comments.

It might help if we knew what you were talking about?
Offhand, other then glamouries which can change the way you appear momentarily, and diets to help your willpower to lose weight, I can't think of anything.
Maybe you could let us know what you mean?

Or maybe something to boost your self confidence? People who are more self-assured, usually carry themselves differently. Therefore, giving the impression that they're different.

I guess it's just a curiosity if something could be done permanently, maybe something small like eye color... other than that I've come to the conclusion that DNA is unstoppable unless you work in Hollywood. :D

As someone said once, sticking a pencil in your eye will change them to red. :p
Seriously, there's a lot you can do to change your appearance. You can gain or lose weight, dye your hair, change your hairstyle, wear coloured contact lens, wear makeup, change your clothing styles, wear higher shoes, etc. You can do all these things to change the way you look. Some things you can change or hide but there are some things you just have to accept for what you are.

In changing the mundane...use the mundane.
If you want to change your physical appearance then you need to use physical means.

While you may not be able to change your actual physical attributes, your perception of yourself can do a great deal to change the way other perceive your physical appearance. If you work on believing and radiating that you are attractive, confident, capable, professional, etc. and focus on "acting as if," others will see you that way. I once had a friend who literally stopped traffic with her beauty. But if you saw a picture of her, she really wasn't anything special. She had a great deal of self-esteem and thought that she was a gorgeous, sexy woman - and everyone really did see her that way, including me - until she pointed out to me in a photo that her face was actually crooked and her nose wasn't the greatest.
Possibly you are talking about some of the things that are on the market right now - I know that there is some sort of meditation/hypnosis type thing that is supposed to increase the size of a woman's breast. I don't think I'd even bother to spend the money to find out whether it works. I believe that we present to the world what we feel about ourselves inside and this is what we need to focus our efforts on.
Have you ever known someone who was disfigured in a wreck or had a handicap that made them physically unattractive? When you get to know them and like them, you find that you don't even notice those things anymore.
Anyone who's ever taken Psyc 101 knows about the self-fulfilling prophecy. We become what we think we will become. We're much healthier when we take our focus away from the physical attributes that we are not thrilled with and turn that focus within.
In short, love and accept yourself the way you are!
May you be like the Lotus flower, deeply rooted in the muddy waters of life yet rising above to blossom.

You put it beautifully, Freyja! And everyone else. If you must, you can do what actors do, they can change their outward appearance by believing themselves to look different. that is why they look different when caught unawares by the camera.
But self confidence and self love are the only true ways one can be beautiful, both inwardly and out. all else is glamour or ornamentation.

This may sound stupid but...... what's a "Mundane," mo; said something about it, what is it?

Mundane means not magical.
Everyday life - from driving your car to work to taking your kids to the park or anything that doesn't involve magic is mundane.

Over the course of the last two years or so, I've taken it upon myself to change my eye colour. I always had the potential for green in that my eyes were blue with yellow rings. Modifying a glamour and having a lot of patience helped me to gain the eye colour that suits me. I had the advantage, however, of genes being on my side; my dad's eyes are hazel. But yes, it is something small. I can't imagine trying to change my hair colour (except to dye it).
I just wanted to become more like the me I knew I was, and voila. I achieved it. It boosted my confidence to know I could do something even so minute. Most of my work up to that point had been internal, working on my self esteem and whatnot.
I've come a long way since then.

Wow, how did you do it? Just curious. There'd be no hope for changing my eye color, they're brown. A good method that I picked up from Scott Cunningham's Magickal Household is that you can change the way you appear by visualizing the face you want to present when you are putting your makeup on. It worked the first time I tried it, and I really didn't do anything different.

I think it was a matter of knowing I could, that I had it in me. It's the only physical stuff I've done. Sort of a badge of honor for how for I've come as a person since I found my path. Hmm... It was a lot to do with the way I changed inside. I brought it out by combining two glamours I had. Glamours never worked for me, so I needed something real. And then I was patient, confident that I would become more on the outside how I felt on the inside. As I said before, I had it in my genes, I just had to make it flower. It's subtle, but even this small change has helped me, as all small steps do.
I think when it comes to the glamours i used it was a simple incantation, as many green candles as I could muster (Tea lights, actually) and my (for a while) makeup application. Now I can wear any colour eyeshadow and my eyes just get brighter.
Love and Light,
Zaniah
By the way, I'd just like to submit the disclaimer that I'm NOT *that* narcissistic. Honest! I'm good for other things too!

Yeah what are people thinking doing it the easy way and just taking a second to put in contacts anyway.

I saw a girl with these really cool cat's eye contacts! It's basically all down to the same thing, we become what we believe we can become.
No, I don't think you're narcissistic (did I spell that right?)

I personally, think that if we all looked the way we wanted to, most of us women would either look like the traditional image of morgan le fey, or like a barbie doll, and all men would look like "KEN".
The Goddess created us each with individual traits, and each one of us can find something within us, or upon us, which is uniquely beautiful.
To me, part of really getting to know the God and Goddess nature of man, is to find that beauty within ourselves, and appreciate it.
Things like losing weight, or augmenting certain features by make up application, or hair dye, is more a way of "Highlighting" those natural traits of beauty which we are given. But when it comes down to trying to magickally alter our appearance, beyond small glamouries, I think it more interferes with our spiritual growth, than anything. It distracts us from "True Beauty" ..the inner beauty...and focuses us on the mundane...and immaterial. We will all age one day...we will all get wrinkles, and in death, we will all return to ashes. But what lingers on, is the spirit. That is what we need to pay attention to:)
For that reason, I'd work far more on the self confidence aspect of changing your appearance, than anything else.

Danustouch - They said they were gonna fix that Barbie doll years ago to make her look more real & it never happened......
And - I learned in college that there is only 20 percent of your body that you can do anything with. The other 80 percent is hereditary and can not be changed.
I think we're all in agreement that true beauty is from within and of course we even say:
As Within, So Without
We all know people who are very attractive and are not very nice to be around, don't we?

They actually do have bigger barbies out with poochy tummies etc.

My eyes change colour on their own, differing on my energy level, what I'm currently doing magick-wise, and my mood or general aura. I really can't explain it well, though. I still havn't figured out what colour means what ^^; My eyes never changed until I got involved with magick.
Their natural colour is a very dark brown. I've seen them a red-brown, clear brown with black flecks (and no matter what colour, always a dark corona), green-brown, red on the edge and green in the center, gray-brown, and once, a very freaky once, they were clear gray. Scared the crapola out of me. I don't even want to know why they did that ^^;
