I'm not sure if this should go into the Dreams thread or this one, but recently i've had a few dreams about the 1734 tradition (even though i don't know that much about it) and it seems to pop up nearly everywhere i look (sites, books, etc), although, it happens with other religions too (Kemetism, Sumerian reconstructionism, Hellenic paganism and a few others. Do you think it might mean anything like an indication of a path and if it does, how do you find out more about the tradition (like books, sites, etc) or do you think it just was a dream.

How do you feel in these dreams? Is it something you're enjoying doing in the dreams? Is your experience positive?

It's certainly possible that your subconscious is leading you toward 1734 for some reason. I'd definitely step up my research on it, if I were you. If only to make your dreams more detailed and accurate! ^_^

(Have you ever noticed when you buy a new car that you start seeing that kind of car everywhere? ^_^ )

Could be significant. Could be just a dream. Odds are pretty good that you'd have a rough time finding a lot of 1734 practitioners at this point, however... over the years, they've fizzled out quite a bit.

If you want to learn more about Cochrane-style witchcraft and what people who do that type of stuff are up to today, you might want to check out the Yahoo group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TWRN_chat/

It's run by a guy in the UK but there are people on the list from outside the UK too. (I'm on there although I'm not directly involved with any Cochrane-style groups. Just interested in learning!)

The group isn't as active as some groups but they do get some interesting discussions going. And be sure to check out their newsletter/zine (it's called "The Wytches' Standard" and is a print-only magazine) and the stuff they have in their files section on the website.
