Need some help coping

I am devastated! My best friend passed away last night. I can hardly see the keyboard through the tears. Our families are close so this is affecting all of us. We taught Elementary School art together 30 yrs ago........My son and her daughter were each others first loves.........We shared our love of animals and plants........She became ill about 7 yrs. ago when she got a brain infection. She has been on dialysis for 2 yrs. She did see a grandchild and for that I am grateful. She suffered mightily, but she fought well and bravely. Her husband did every thing for her and is truly a good man! I am rambling now, so please help her on her way and and send us the courage to let her go.

Once again, Thank You all so much. I feel a bit better today. The old trite saying "life goes on" is so true. The Funeral is not until Thursday, so thats gonna be a very bad day. I've decided to remember her with happiness and joy, thats how she would want it! Love and Hugs back to all of you!

I'm still a novice, and bit younger than you, but I must say this to you. This woman came into your lives, and effected you profoundly. Her love and wisdom has not only been passed on to her children, but I'm sure to yours as well, and vice versa.

To have a friend that morphs into family is something special. Something that many people never get the opportunity to experience. You've spent a lifetime with this woman, and she'll continue to be part of your life. You'll never truly let her go, your spirits are entertwined. Her phsyical body is gone, but her heart, soul and spirit live on in your memories and in the life lessons that you brought to each other and your families.

I have a couple of friends like that......so if I were to loose them, I know I'd be devestated. My deepest love and sympathy go out to you and your families.
