What does your sign and gender have to do with the reading? I didn't see this and didn't give mine. Does it make a big difference?

Hi! I cheated a little and looked in your profile to check you birthdate....you are an Aries correct?
When I do a reading that isn't 'in-person' I use a significator card. (a card that represents you, usually a court card with the same element involved....for you I used, I believe the page of Wands, since wands and Aries are both linked to the element of Fire) I then focus on the significator when shuffling, and repeat your name. It's kind of like a proxy, a stand in.

Oh cool! I'm glad I put down my birthday in my profile. Yes I'm an Aries, beyond that I don't know. That is a very interesting way to represent someone when they are not there. I wonder if it would work for magickal purposes?

I don't see why not! when I am doing magical workings, and another person is involved....but not there....I use something to represent them....a crystal, a candle with their name on it....a tarot card.
Fire: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius
Earth: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn
Air: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius
Water: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces
then use the court cards...the best suited for that person....knights and kings for males.....pages and queens for females....children are always pages also.

Ive just recently used mine for magick!! ~ I cast a candle spell for success on Sunday for the New Moon and used the Sun card to represent how I want my life and others around me lives to go! Im pretty sure it worked too because everything is looking allot better this week even though its kind of all the same - if you know what i mean!
Its great to use the pictures and the meanings that the cards represent to reinforce a cause in a spell :)
Also if youve got some cards, and want to rev up your dreaming - place one that you want to meet or experience in your dream near your bed - on the wall behind your head, or under your pillow, meditiaing on this as you fall asleep and you will have the best vivid dreams!! It works for me everytime
