Okay, tonight I was boiling some eggs and got really bored and went to Ask Jeeves (http://www.ask.com) to see how they would answer the question about boiling an egg. I found this one place at Learn2.com (http://www.learn2.com/) more specifically Learn 2 Boil an Egg (http://www.learn2.com/07/0704/0704.asp) and found this long and complicated description about how to boil and egg, that if printed is eight pages long. It makes me wonder if there are corporate people out there with too much time and money on their hands.
Geez!
I almost posted this in Just Silly, but thought to post it here instead, this wasn't silly it was beyond silly.

Back it up a little here, egg man. You actually searched for information on how to boil an egg?! And considered printing off eight pages worth of it?
Oh dear. Oh dear me.
Btw, I don't know how you'd 'boing' an egg, last I checked they splatter more than they 'boing'.
*canned laughter
There's something unavoidably amusing about mocking typing errors. Forgive me.

Foxglove, you missed the point entirely. I didn't have to print it to see how many pages it would be, I used the "Print Preview" option. I already knew how to boil an egg, that's too simple, but like I said I was really bored and just did a quick look-up on this. The point I was getting at was the ridiculous amount of detail and effort that someone actually made in order to tell the reader how to boil and egg.
Perhaps I don't have your sense of humor, but I fail to see the point in mocking a typo, and I thought I was bored! Besides, you also missed another typo, I also misspelled the word corporate, both errors have been corrected.

Foxglove, you missed the point entirely.
*sigh
If I were to gently explain to you that I was being facetious, would you miss my point entirely too? You know, not serious, silly, jocular, teasing...? I suppose the fact that you have felt the need to explain to me again what I understood the first time kind of proves that you have.
I didn't have to print it to see how many pages it would be, I used the "Print Preview" option.
No, you lie!!? ;)
You're right, you don't have my sense of humour. And that's fine if you fail to see the point in my mocking of your typo error - fair enough, 'twas a feeble stab, but hey, I fail to see the point in looking up how to boil an egg when you already know how to boil an egg. Sheesh.
*giggles
This is silly... You wanna fight huh? :nyah:

But, it's not funny! Not funny at all!

-_-; oi. I'm not sure what's more pathetic: eight pages on boiling an egg, or arguing over spellings of things in a post about eight pages on boiling an egg.
*whaps you both with the "get a clue! baka!" stick!* ;) hehe Jeeves always did seem a bit nutty to me. . .

Well eight pages over boiling an egg is pretty pathetic if you ask me, but enough of this silliness. And, yes, John-Boy, I did miss another one of my typos, darn.
Isn't this silly?
Well, so much for a warm and fuzzy welcome.

I'm sorry owl, honestly, no offence was intended. I was just teasing, not going for the jugular or anything like that! I mean, you must admit, all this talk about boiled eggs is a bit silly, on both sides! hehe! :crylaugh:
Welcome to Mysticwicks though!! :D Lovely to have you with us. As you can see I'm the resident halfwit with an aversion to egg-cookers, but quite nice once you get to know me, seriously.
*shakes hand
I'll leave you in peace, Owl! :p

Once, in high school, I had to write a paper on how to boil an egg. It was probably about 8 pages. It was supposed to teach us how to write clearly and write with deffinition. It's incredibly hard to write a descriptive paper on how to boil a friggin egg. You assume people know how to boil an egg, so you keep forgetting to add tiny steps and then your teacher gives you a C and then there's yelling, and suspensions. Bad times all around.
Damn the Egg Boilers!! DAMN THEM!

The Damned Egg Boilers Convention was delayed this year or I would have you present your paper :D. They had Reservations at The Hotel California but the silly coordinator forgot to confirm the reservation so, the reservation was given to the Damned Egg Poachers instead!!
Life goes on :D

You know what this thread has done? Made me hungry for eggs. And on top of that, I'm actually tempted to go look at Jeeves just to see this eight-page primer on the subject of boiling eggs...
I need to go home...
