Which basically mimics real life.You are not meant to make sense of discordianism,because you are to make nonsense(non-sense) of it.
You cannot understand discordianism and subgenni using the rational brain alone.You need to bring in the irrational brain to help.
Chaos is not just a theory,it is the way of life.
Order is mans attempt at catergorizing all that is around him,but ultimately we can never truly say what REALITY IS.Only what our senses tell us about about reality.
By using non-sense,as well as sense it is possible to get a better picture of what is really going on.

Many theorectical scientists will tell you that the universe is Absurd.They can map out Reality mathematically,but can figure out WHY it is those equations,and not some others.
We as a species like to think we can eventually know why everything happens.
The funny thing is we've always known the Answer.
The real answer is:
Sh!t Happens.

Irony proves that the Multiverse has a sense of humor.
That is the essense of Chaos.
That is why a religion that started out as a joke/parody of religions(discordianism) has lasted this long.All comedy tells the truth about what is really going on better then journalists.

Chaos is the reason why we have so many different faiths and paths.Chaos is the reason why we have so many Gods and Goddesses Running around this forum.Each is correct in their own way and to their believers.
Unless of course,someone here can prove that their Faith their version of the Supreme is the only one that is correct,and all others are false.

Any truly serious attempt to understand Reality is doomed to failure,because Reality doesn't take itself too seriously.

even has to worship chaos.

Aren;t we all chaotic in some way.How well is your life really planned.What do you do when things don't go according to plan.

How well do you understand your deities.How well do you or anyone else understand themselves.

Discordians are not supposed to worship chaos.We are to accept that we are a part of Chaos.We are supposed to accept whatever comes our way,and deal with it.Or don't deal with it.Our choice.

Worship is a form of subserviance in the eyes of Discordia.We discordians refuse to be slaves to anything,unless we decide we want to be slaves.Sometimes we get kinky like that.

What is the use of life if you can't enjoy it.We as a species take everything,especially ourselves,way to seriously.Why stress so much.None of us is gonna make it out of this life alive anyway,so might as well have a party and enjoy ourselves.

Eris said nothing about discordians having to be chaotic.All she said is that we are free.For us,that is what should be the most important thing of all,our freedom.Eris doesn't give a rats ass about sacrifices,offerings,worship,or adulations.All she wants us to do is live our lives and enjoy ourselves.That's perfectly fine by me.Best thing any deity has ever done for me.

Why not? That seems to be standard procedure when somebody knocks up a new religion.

I'd advise against using yourself, though. Historical evidence suggests that the likelihood of a Largely Fatal Event goes up in logarithmic proportion to the number of people that believe you are divine.

Well, I'm still new, but here goes.

About the only thing I worship (other than DanuMoonrunner) is a well played MF. Sure Eris is running around and "Bob" is just waiting. For something. If you ever see "Bob", kill him. If you ever see Eris, draw your weapons and back away slowly. If the ingrained veil is ever lifted from your eyes close them tightly and hope it comes right back. To whom much is given much is required. We take what we damn well want and owe no one.
