What would you say you are more inclined to concentrate on,developing your spiritual nature or proficency in the art of magick?x

Most absolutely the former. I see magic to be a natural extension of spirituality, so I don't concentrate on it outside of spiritual work. Ideally I would like to be so connected to the Sacred and so able to direct or adapt to it that focused magic is unnecessary.

imo magick might be a natural bi-product of spiritualism
but its also a obstruction, that leads the mind away from
things that are important, and instead leads the mind to
indulgences towards the senses.

i am definetly into spirituality more, i rarely do spells,, i love to just be in touch with nature, to breathe it in. the ocean, the air, the warmth of fireon my skin... whatever makes me feel alive
i feel that my creativity is magic however.. the emotions that stir fom paintings i make, poetry that may inspire others or even the scents from the candles i make..
does that make any sense?

Spiritualism and furthering myself within myself, which has a bi product effect on my non-existant abilities, in theory lol :)

i also belive that they work together, as i do not cast many spells, i feel that my thoughts, words and actions are magical in their own rite. my spirituality guides my thoughts, words and actions.

Both, for me they go hand in hand.

I pretty much work on both simultaneously. Honestly, I don't relate the two all that much... I tend to keep my magic/spellwork separate from my worship, except for when I call on the Lord and Lady to aid me in something. But even then, that's usually more in prayers than in spells.

Developing my spiritual nature would be the priority but I think magic is a natural part of that.

Spirituality. Any magik comes out of that understanding I have of my place in the cosmos.

Spirituality, most definitely. I don't practice magic.

does that make any sense? It makes all the sense in the world! A few of my fellow Pagany types and I are working to create a highly experimental "artists cell" that will be work mostly with how art, activism, and magic interact. It's going to be quite a ride!
For me, I don't consider spirituality and magic to be an either/or proposition. One of the things that initially attracted me to my path of Paganism was that it doesn't draw too fine a distinction - magic is spirituality and vice versa; you can't really separate the two. As my friend Ralf says, "I think of Pagans not as people who do magic, but as people who live magical lives."
My own experience has some similarities to what sylvrena is describing: I sit down to write a story or make a book or crochet a shirt and I suppose what I have in mind is "spiritual" - an act of honoring the divinity in myself and the Multiverse that is constantly creating both myself and the Multiverse. But when I get done and look at my work, I realize that I've created a tactile spell - a tangible manifestation of magic. And I've gotten better at it in the process! The spiral feeds itself ever upwards.

spirituality definately. I guess i feel that once i develope that then the magick part will come easily, or the skills needed for magick are also the skills needed to develope my spirituality. So to me the two are intertwined.

Magick & Spirituality go hand in hand for me, they are integral to each other.

Spirituality, simply because I have neither the tools nor the convenience of time to practice my magick.
I am a lazy perfectionist writer, and magick doesn't rank quite as high as writing, school, or emotional/mental/possibly physical (I do yoga) well-being at the moment.

I mainly focus on my spirituality. However, magic is a part of my spirituality, so I do a little of that, too.

I concentrate more on spirituality. I'm only just beginning to pursue magickal workings. For the longest time, I felt that spells etc were just not for me. I had every belief that they worked, but it wasn't something I wanted to get involved in yet. Now that I have more information and experiences, I have successfully completed all of one spell (last month).

I would say spirituality, although I do practice magick from time to time. I don't cast spells as such, my magick takes place in the creative things I do.

I have to agree with a lot of posts here. For me they go hand in hand.--shuvanilu
