I have been doing a lot of soul searching and THIS is where I belong. I feel so energized reading about Wicca and Paganism. I love the whole feeling I get when I think about it and people want to be around me more because of my positive attitude. I have one question, though. Can wiccans believe in God while being a wiccan?

Well, I answered this question in new pagans. ;) Welcome back!

Yes, I believe in God and Goddess. I believe in the duality of the Divine.

...my choice wasn't an option. It's not that I don't believe in God...I believe in something, which some people might term as God or G_d or Goddess or goddess or Big Kahuna or whatever, but I can't say yes or no definitely. I think that a third choice would be warranted in this case. I choose C, for 'I believe in something bigger than me, not necessarily a Diety.'

Do I believe in God? My usual, smart-@$$ response would normally be: "Which one?" but since that no longer applies and I no longer believe in the God and the Goddess as I did when I was into Wicca, I'll have to rephrase my answer.

I've been having serious problems with this question lately. I really want to believe that there is someone looking out for me, but have trouble truly swallowing it.

So, no, at the moment, but that may all change. I do, however, believe that there is a universal "force," an "energy" that flows through all living and non-living things and that we return to that force upon death. It's sort of new-agey, but it makes me happy. :)

i went for yes, because although i believe in god and goddess, that means i still believe in god. does that make sense?!
basically, im going for the 'all rivers run to the sea' theory! :)

In a word, No.

The Universe is just too vast for me to believe in a god. I find myself asking questions like, "Just where is the Universe?" and "What is time?"

These kinds of questions may or may not be healthy for one's psyche, but they are mine. Answering questions using blind faith in an omnipotent being just does not occur in my way of thinking.

nope. I don't believe in the Christian God. I have a hard time believing that a "loving" and "forgiving" God would create a place to send his "bad" children.

Yes, I believe in God and Goddess. I don't think there's such a thing as "Christian God" or "Pagan God" or "Muslim God". God is God. He is worshiped differently in different regions and by different people. Same with Goddess, except that She is neglected by Christians, Jews and Muslims :( Also, it is possible that some people misunderstand the mood of God, like the Christians who threaten us with hellfire. Also, I believe in what I call demigods, who are living entities like you and me, but have achieved the status of a god/goddess. That means they work as the administrators of the Universe as long as the Universe lasts in its present form. After its destruction, it is created again, and some other souls assume the positions of the demigods. Above all this there are the Supreme Goddess and God. They can appear in many forms and be called by various names.

Even though I belive in the God and Godess duality, I voted no. Whenever I'm asked that question it carries (for me) a christian conotation and I most definetly don't follow the christian path (I don't have a problem with those who do). I was raised a christian and it has left a very bad taste in my mouth.
