First of all, thank you Mol for posting these! :D
The Tower:
With this card, I feel that everything is falling apart. Breakups and chaos are in the works, ruin. Something beyond your control has come and upset your world. Setbacks.

Hiya everyone.. missed this earlier!!
This card means unexpecting upheavel to me, things that are beyond our control but in the hands of fate!
This is an end to soemthing but with end come new beginnings and this card teaches us that through experiences bad or good we learn and gain.
You have to fall to continue.. like the fool - here he is falling again to contiue with the last few cards where things do look alot better.
This card is also about the wheel - because something bad has happened and it may be a rough dark time, soon the sun will shine again and we'll be climbing up the tower again.

Description:
This card is pretty close to the Rider Waite version. It shows the dark swirling clouds behind the tower. The tower is being struck by lightning and the top is on fire. There is a man and woman falling from the tower. There are waves crashing against the rocks at the base of the tower.
The fall from on high, disgrace, chaos, destruction, winds of change, the storms that wreak havoc on your life, conflicts, drastic and sudden change, total reversals of environment or lifestyle, coming trials problems, the unexpected or unconscious manifesting, our fears made manifest....
....but on the positive side this is another change card. Although the changes may be painful, drastic, even devastating.... it is another ending.... thus we also have the way cleared for another beginning. Knowledge is gained, we are humbled, our security and confidence may be momentarily shattered, but the way is open to grow and become more enlightened of the truth and the path we truly seek. This is another way to face our fears, deal with them and move on. It represents the release from a stereotype or lifestyle or habit that we have bound ourselves to and to move beyond all of that.

Great comparison between the two decks! Sudden calamity in our perfect little worlds! We know life is hard, and we know it likes to throw us for those loops! Eventually, calmness and peace will re-enter our life once the storm passes....we just have to pick up the pieces and move on. :D

DESCRIPTION
The Tower is an unsettling card. Fire, lightning, falling on jagged rocks - definitely looks like trouble! Card 16 will not be welcomed by those who dislike change. It represents a sudden, dramatic upheaval or reversal in fortune. Usually change is gradual, giving us time to adapt, but sometimes it is quick and explosive. This is the action of the Tower.
In films, the hero sometimes slaps someone who is groggy or babbling. Having tried everything else, he finally resorts to a sharp sting to snap him out of it. Sudden crises are life's way of telling you to wake up. Something's wrong, and you're not responding. Are you too full of pride? Expect a blow to your ego. Are you holding back your anger? Expect the dam to burst. Are you stuck in a rut? Expect a surprise.
How you respond to the Tower's change makes all the difference in how uncomfortable the experience will be. Recognize that the disruption occurred because it was needed. Perhaps embracing the change is too much to ask, but try to find the positive in it. In fact, you may feel tremendous release that you have finally been forced in a new direction. You may have a burst of insight about your situation and reach a new level of understanding about it.

This, to me me, is a card that suggests that we need watch our own perceptions and aspiration of grandeur. It could also suggest chaos in our spiritual self. We know our path but we know not the obstacles that lay ahead. The total chaos and destruction show that we can overcome and be strong - surpassing that which stands before us, and our path.
How did I do?
I'm still rather new at this.

RnR,
I think you did great! Don't forget that this action is sudden and unexpected as the lightning suggests. It's something out of our control and we just have to do the best we can with what we are dealt!
